If you want inexpensive, most of the newer Top Flites are very cheap and are really decent for how cheap they are. I also prefer hitting the bridgestone e5's and e6's when i dont have any pro v1x's.

still loving the two in my signature line after gaming them both for almost a year

The E5+ is my first choice but for $10 less per dozen the Noodle Long & Soft is an absolute steal. I've gamed these two as long as I've ever gamed any other ball except the Precept EV Extra Spin. Played that one for years and years.

I was at Golf Galaxy yesterday and they have the Srixon Z-URS and Z-URC for 2 dozen for $40, or $24.99 a box. That's a great deal as that was a $40/box ball before the Z-STAR was released.

Wilson Zip. This is a ball which is under the radar, allthough it was recognized by Golf Digest last year.

Alot of players like the Zip.

I would give it a try except the shiny, glassy looking finish on the Wilson balls don't suite my eye very well.

I know it has zero impact on playability, but I just don't like the look.

Stupid, mental stuff like that erodes my confidence.

I'm down to a 10 handicap. At this rate, I'll get to scratch at 90 years old!

I would suggest you try Taylor Made/Maxfli Noodle. Great ball at a great price, if you find them.

RIGHT NOW...

Nike Mojo's, TaylorMade Burners and Burner TPs hands down for the money you can get them at from GPPgolf. Then again it would depend how many you plan on buying... paying $7 to ship a dozen balls kills the deals.

Other than that, ive seen the old premium srixons for $20 at the places that still carry them.

Pinnacle Exceptions are very very good balls for 15$ a dozen. Some reports out their even say that the Pinnacle Exceptions are Titleist NXT's. I did my own test on both balls and found them to perform identical.

Have the Exceptions been discontinued? Which of the new balls is the equivalent to NXT.

I have really enjoyed the e6+/e5+/e5/e6. I have been able to get them used at very reasonable rates. I cannot really tell the difference but seem to like the e6+/e6.

There are several vendors who claim to retrieve balls from the desert courses. So often you are looking at $1 and under including shipping. Not bad for a $3 ball. Personally, the used ball plays a lot better than the $1 new ball.
