Ive been golfing for a while.. around 10 years, not very much, but I can't see me spending tons on clubs the way I suck.

It's just a number, I act like I'm in my 30's, my body feels like I'm in my 70's, and I'm somewhere in between.

30 years old, playing since 10 or 11 ish?

53 here too ... back in the game for a year now after a 10 yr break, (spent mostly in a fishing boat). 2 great hobbies, but tough to do both every weekend, although I often try!

If I ever get happy with myself for finishing 12th or 15th, someone needs to put my clubs away and I'll take up tiddlywinks.

28, just starting to play seriously for the first time. I'd always dabbled on and off, but now it's time to get serious so I can one day play Pebble Beach and not embarrass myself :)

Hard to believe I'm 61. I don't look or feel like it ..... but that's the reality. My oldest is now 32 ......... and he loves golf.

I find it pretty interesting that the majority of ppl on this forum are "younger"...says something about my generation i guess. Anyways, golf nuts will be golf nuts

    • Day 199 - 2025-04-17 Played No. 1 at Pinehurst Resort. It was… meh.
    • Day 15 (17 Apr 25) - played 18 at a sister course to my home course with my friend whose son is the chief greens keeper at both courses.  With the greens super firm and ultra fast it was a day of course management 2.0.  Nothing was holding so it was all about playing the rolling release.
    • Yay, first 9 holes of golf in! The goal tonight was to keep the swing short, and try to feel the downswing stuff. I was able to do that here and there. The iron strikes were solid. Like, flush center strikes. I was like, Whoa!!! Though face to path control was not there yet, or the trees in my way were not kind. 🤣 I need to send a good day on putting and short game. Just rusty. A pretty soft course didn't help. That is where I lost a ton of shots.
    • Completing your first 2 holes in 9 strokes then taking 48 to complete the next 7 is wild.
    • I had some great moments today, but some garbage as well. Today was my first swing of any club this years.  Hit the range and simply pounded all but 1 shot on target with reasonable distance for me.     first hold wax aboar 5.  I crushed my drive and 3-hybrid and was 6” off the front in too.  Putting was lackluster and I got par 2nd hole par 4 intoning regulation but left my birdie putt 2 “ short, shells then fell off and finished the front 9 with a crappy 57. Back 9 was better with nothing worse than bogey on all holes until #16 when I took a 10 on a par 4. 🤬.  Finished ok and shot 51 on back 9. 108 is garbage but there were a lot of good shots so I have hope. I was frustrated that I ghought my Shot Scope was charged, it was not
