  1. 1. Do you puchase golf equipment ONLINE or through a RETAIL store ?

Just wondering how many people purchase their equipment online via the web, as opposed to walking into a retail store (prefer the look & feel approach).

I buy online mostly. I either research the crap out of it online or buy in a store and restock online (balls, etc.)

I'm considering picking a driver based on demos locally but buying online. I'd feel bad, but when you can get a $300 club for less than $100 online, its hard to justify that the sales pitch or demo was worth $200.

Yeah I know exactly where your coming from. The online store concept over here in Australia is yet to take off (apart from Ebay, but hey you risk buying a fake). I suppose the U.S. has always embraced technology a lot quicker, and hey, your population is way more than our little island down under.

A lot of my incentives at work are paid in gift cards and the only place I can get golf equipment is Austads.

Sine they are located somewhere far from here I have to buy most stuff online.

You can get such great deals online, like ebay, it's hard not to buy. Just check the dealer's rating and you should be ok. I'm sure it's more expensive to ship to Australia, but I got a set of new Wilson Di7 irons, 4-gw plus sw for $300.00 and a new set of Nike CCI's with graphite shafts for $325.00. I was weary of the TM Superquad I got (for $149.00 new) but checked with TM and gave them the Serial Number and they confirmed that is was legit. I got my Bridgestone Gravity Chamber Hybrids for about $35 each, new, all off Ebay, but mostly from the larger dealers... jmoc

I get my clubs wholesale... and custom fit... though Taylor Made has been in my bag for a long time... I never buy my clubs off the rack... I will occasionally buy components online
