I just started doing this on the balls I got from santa. I used a gold sharpie and colored a diamond around the number. It is definitely different

"To ensure perfect aim, shoot first and call wherever the ball lands the target"

Dot before the first "T", dot after the last "t" and a dot directly below and center of the logo.

Same deal with any other ball....

If I see somebody with the same mark....I take my balls and go home.

I noticed that sharpie on the ball ended up leaving marks all over my clubs. I bought a buttload of noodle ice on ebay which are just clear covered noodle long and softs and I don't think anyone uses these at all so I stopped marking them. Do you guys just live with the marks all over your clubs? I used to mark it with my last name in chinese. but I don't want those streaked all over my clubs.

I leave a orange dot over the last "t" in titleist. Not many people use orange to mark their ball so its easily recogniseable for me.

at first i used to get a ultra fine sharpie and write my name 'russ' right under the alignment mark... then i got a monogram tool as a present and now i use that to stamp my name in tiny letters on any ball

Haven't seen anyone say this yet so here goes...

black dot covering the number! No red numbers visible! I wish I could get mine without numbers even printed on them....that would be rad.

Three horizontal red dots over the 'Titleist'. I chose this as it is easy to do and it matches the red dots on my Scotty really nicely.

I mark my Titleist like Darren Clark does (or maybe he marks his ball like me!)

I color in three dimples in the shape of a triangle, then draw a small vertical line under that, so that it looks like a "three leaf clover" or "CLUB mark".

Three blue dots under the number.

I am a three dot man as well. What I do is, with a ultra fine black sharpie, mark three dots all in one dimple, both sides, somewhere above the Titleist.

I mark my ball with either the Greek letter "Psi" or the (lowercase) letter "h" with a bar through the top part (called "h-bar").

There are two reasons for this.

1) I play a Titleist ProV1x, no one else that I know of uses those markings, and this mostly fixes the problem of somebody else playing my ball

2) In Quantum Physics there is a principle called "The Heisenburg Uncertainy Principle" which states (in summary) that it is impossible to simultaneously know exactly the momentum and position of a quantum particle. The ROG require that a golf ball be at rest (zero momentum exactly) when it is struck. Therefore (per the Heisenburg) it is impossible to know the position of a golf ball when it is "legally struck". So when I hit a bad shot it is legal and errors most certainly can't be my fault (how can you hit a good shot if you aren't allowed to know where the ball is when you swing at it). Psi is the symbol generally used for the quantum state variable and h-bar is the fundamental constant of quantum mechanics.

I use a ton of different golf balls (i use recycled mostly) but my favorite to mark is the MC balls because I write Nasty after the MC. It's the evil Irish golf ball! MCNasty.
