Gahh!

My bank account is going to kill me. In the past 6 months, i have gone through 4 iron sets, 2 wedge sets, 4, (or maybe 5) drivers, 4 or 5 putters, 3 fairway woods, and two hybrids..

Going crazy.. i just dropped 320 bucks on a Tour issue 907D2 with matrix ozik Xcon 6. when i have a perfectly fine 905R and a SQ at home. All my summer work money has been blown.

Darn curse..

Any other addicts out there?

I feel your pain. I'm always looking for new stuff. Wouldn't mind finding a 905R 10.5 w/stiff shaft, not that I really need it. Also thinking about some new wedges even though mine (Callway X forged 58, 56) are just fine. Maybe a new putter? Some new woods. The guys at the Proshop love me.

I started reading more about equipment in the early part of the summer - after being a club Ho for about 2 years ( I now have 2 complete sets of golf clubs + I have 4 extra drivers, extra putter in the 3 car garage ).

The Right Sticks: Equipment Myths That Could Wreck Your Golf Game by Tom Wishon
The Search for the Perfect Golf Club by Tom W. Wishon
The Mad Science of Golf: On moving past golf industry hype and learning to play better golf by Philip Moore
Just Hit It by Frank Thomas with Jeff Neuman

I got out of the mindset of changing equipment and focusing more upon what part of my game needed improvement.

There is a book coming out, soon, called Search for the Perfect Putter. I wish it came out before I bought my 1/2 dozen putters.

Gahh!

I'm not insulting you or anyone, but you have a tour burner in your sig, so your gonna have a total of 4 drivers? I don't get that, why would you buy a club that is just gonna sit. If you buy 2 clubs with different lofts, like an 8.5 and 10.5 driver for its purpose i understand that, but I don't see why people do things like buying that many clubs. I guess if you got the dough, it's fine.

...and to balance the golf purchasing karma the only club changes I've made since 2000 are getting a new putter earlier this summer!

Am getting a Vokey wedge for my birthday which'll be nice.
