Bad swing or duckhook I just dont get their logic behind it

It is business logic. We are not the target consumer, the weekend hacker who has no intention of correcting his swing or practicing is who they market this club to. In the corporate world this makes perfect logic. If they weren't selling we wouldn't keep seeing them.

So very true. Plus how many guys that are stroking their current drivers in the center cut go out and buy the newest, highest MOI, closed face, 46" 45 gram shaft, graphics laden drivers? The hospitals are for the sick, ya know?

It's one thing to be inconsistent in hitting with the sweet spot of the clubface. That more than anything separates the typical recreational player from the gifted competitor.

But casting the club over the top and finishing to a reverse weight shift is a horse of an entirely different color.

These are easily correctable problems, and if somebody wants to play golf without any qualified instruction, I for one think that the OEMs do the game a disservice by gearing their equipment toward these non-golfers.

Bought the 909 D2 today. Demoed it against the G10 and the D2 won hands down for me. The G10 seemed a little 'tinny' and for some reason just hit the D2 better than the G10

My bet is that without these "non-golfers" ALL the equipment manufacturers would be broke.

Yes you are right Id just think they'd make more drivers for us.

Yes and when you consider that the most seasoned golfers aren't quick to change or adapt to new equipment until researching and getting properly fitted at least year to year anyway, somebody has to buy the 250 drivers Taylormade produced this year alone ;)

If I can go a tad off topic....

One of the reasons IMHO that there are so many new models and gimmicks in driver design is that we have reached a point of diminishing return in driver design. Honestly, If you can't hit a Ping G2, Callaway 454, or Talyormade 540 (all older designs) with any consistancy then a 2009 model ANYTHING isn't going to help you that much. But as long as people BELIEVE it will, and ignore their own swing faults, it's money in the bank for the club companies. If I were the companies, I'd be crankin the new drivers out too!

If you want to sell your old G10, let me know. I have absolutely no problem playing with cosmetically flawed clubs. (My game is ugly, why not my sticks?!)
