ProLaunch Red
VS Proto
Diamanna White Board

Just to name a few. For the price I'd try a PL Red. I have one in a GEEK FS3.

DUDE,

I'm sorry to have to say this because I know you get a lot of flack for this….but maybe you should at least try SOME capitalization and punctuation. It is really annoying to try to decipher some of the things you write. Firstly, try not to write in a stream of consciousness. Secondly, include at least SOME periods and/or commas. This isn't a chat room, it's a discussion board. That being said, I promise to never bring it up again. I realize you are just 13. And I also have to admit, at 36 years of age, even my writing skills have suffered since the whole texting phenomenon started. And for your original thread question, I would imagine the V2 would be right in the group you are looking for. Is the spin rate you quoted really too high?

Yea man, the V2 really should be what your lookin for..

Perhaps lessons? Cuz if you got fitted like you said, that means that the V2 was a pretty good match for you not all that long ago, (i mean, your 13..) so that would leave me to belive that at some point your swing has changed, where a few lessons may be worth more than that shiny new RedBoard Ion..Equipment only does so much, and unless your Phil, your probobly not gonna change shafts everytime your Spin rates change more than you would like..

I think you should try sticking with that shaft for a while. Get some lessons and see how it goes, if that doesn't work try out graphite design ysq or pershing , their shafts are smooth and mid launch with fairly low spin.

I think this might of been do to the balls i was using cause i went back today and brought with me a sleeve of nike one blacks and the spin rate was down to 2600 and lower. So i think maybe they were the top flite z balata balls that they sometimes use in there simulators.

Do Does not mean, "Due"

But that doesnt make sence..I have never seen a Top Flite that spins more than a Black..

Technology is a beautiful thing, but when you start getting fussy about small things that i doubt you can see on the course..you may be taking it a bit far.

Top flite made a ball call the z balata and by the name you can tell it was a balata ball and it spins alot more the the nike one black off of the driver . The ball was made in 05.

How far do you hit your driver? I am assuming you hit it 230+ just based on the fact that you are using a stiff shaft.

Generally, 2900-3000 is roughly ideal as far as spin rates go (again, using a rough estimate for distance and what not). I would take a look at your ballflight on an actual range before you start making shaft changes based on simulator numbers. Just my two cents.

thank you crafty and after the sand trap brought me back to earth i got the fact that '' what i am i thinking'' and i hit my driver 250 yards the odd one 260 270 and i think that 2900 to 300 is ok but the lower the spin the higher the launch angle the better. All though the lower the spin the more side spin can be imparted on the ball so i am happy with 2600 spin and 11.5 launch for now. Happy golfing

AK,

If your a +1 like it states on you info page, then you should know if your getting 2900 to 3000rpms on your spin rate your right where you need to be. A player like yourself should be looking at lauch numbers.

I had a 60 gram Fujikura in a stiff flex in my driver. I was struggling alot with it ballooning on me. I got fitted and found out I had a fast tempo and a 120 average mph swing speed. My fitter put a Harrison Mugen No Limit s70 tipped to 290 range cfms or xstiff. I now hit a beautiful draw with a 315 yd average. My 2 longest drives have been 340 +.... I truly believe in getting a correct shaft for your swing. I was averaging 280 before with an ultra high ball fade

    • Day (2 May 24) - somehow I missed posting both Tues and Weds practice sessions - so the streak ends and a new one begins…. Focus today was on ball first contact using the Divot Board for reference.   Worked with 7i, 9i and GW hitting hard foam balls.  Started hap hazardly and then settled back into my pre-shot setup.  Much more consistent in the latter.
    • So, Newey is out at Red Bull. Where does he go in a year? Is Max still with RBR in 2026? Hmmmm.
    • August 2010 Woodfin Ridge 18th hole Playing in a large tournament with a slew of friends and the last day was two man best ball. The 18th, when it was bent grass, was very fast due to a steep slope on the right side. I had seen many people over the years putt off the green from above the hole. I hit a great drive and 3W to 30’ left of the hole. With everyone watching my partner hit it way too fast and never high enough and his ball rolled all the way to the bottom of the green.  I hit mine much higher and the ball came to rest about 20” above the hole. Then it slowly started trickling towards the hole for a walkoff eagle! Nobody said anything except my partner who was yelling pretty loudly. I looked at the crowd and told them it was okay to clap because it was a great putt, and they gave me a bunch of polite golf claps and brought me a beer!
    • Day 127: 5/2/24 Stack Full Speed spectrum training session 6/24. Training speed was 5 mph higher than previous high, as was e-speed. Still not as high as I have done in previous programs, but just 1 mph lower. Battling through a neck issue, and possible trigger fingers. Happy with results.
    • Day 49. Played 9 from tees a bit beyond my comfort zone and was humbled. Hit a couple good shots so will take that at least.
