I was talking to a fellow golfer at work and i was telling him how the most frustrating thing to me on the course is when i hit a good tee shot and still have a hard time finding it. I think that my problem is that I have a hard time judging distance. Am i the only one who has this problem?

I also have this problem. I always think my ball goes way farther then it ended up going. But lately it has been it goes farther then i thought.

I can have the problem, both short and long, left and right. I really concentrate on the line and that helps.

Tee shots with current driver....sometimes. It's hard to tell from feel of the club.

It's not so bad now....as our home course doesn't have much to fear from the dormant rough....now in April it's gonna be something to contend with.

Bad bounces probably happen a lot more than we think. Imagine if we had a gallery like the pros? Hell, Tiger hit a ball over a building and he found it, plus it was never ruled out of bounds.

When in doubt, check the hole, that's what I do....it's usually in there too.

Happens a lot. I tend to think a shot has gone farther than it really did, with my shots and others as well.

I've found I tend to walk past my ball if I am looking forwards. I have better luck if I walk the line I thought the ball was on, and then I start looking side-to-side in a sweeping pattern about 50 yards short of where I thought my ball landed. I still lose way too many balls, often because I don't follow the ball to the very end or choose a reference point.

I can judge distances really well, but can't find my golf ball even if it's in the middle of the fairway. When I find my ball, I can usually judge to distance to the pin within 10 yards. My issues are partial color blindness and poor vision (relative to others) My corrected vision is 20/30. Without contacts of glasses, can't read the big E on the eye chart.

To solve this problem, I play regularly with friends with 20/15 or better vision. They can see where the ball lands on a green and where the ball comes to rest on the green from 230 yards (extremely jealous of their natural visual gifts)

Guys... This is my first post on here... There is an easy solution here... It was reviewed here on this site... Look up radargolf.com! I am going to own one of these myself but just got all new clubs and I am not a great golfer..: yet... So later this summer when I am hitting consistently and will not loose to many radar balls this will be the to ticket! Soooo... Anyone want to direct me to the post that tell how to put in a signature..

Thanks

I'm usually pretty good at finding them, I usually have a fair idea of where they've ended up unless they bounce off some hard ground and kick on a lot further. I'm also the one who will walk over to my mates - who've been looking for their ball the whole time that I've walked to mine, put my bag down and walked to where they are - and say "there it is" after about 10 seconds of looking . Of course the ones in the middle of the fairway are easy to see!

I kindof don't get how a ball with a microchip in it, can compress when you hit it, but I hope it works, sounds cool.

Not finding the ball after a good tee shot is definitely among the most bothersome things that happens to me on the course. There is one hole in particular on my home course that slopes down and to the left pretty hard, leaving a pretty narrow spot to aim at on the right if you hit a draw, as I often do. Depending on where you land it, it can bounce left and die, or roll out long and just trickle out the left, for a difference of about 30- 40 yards.

Of Course all of this begs the question, if it was a good tee shot, shouldn't it be easy to find?

Rarely have this issue......usually, it happens when someone from the other fairway ventures over, and I think "hey, they seem really close to where my ball should be"....

A few minutes later, I can't find my ball....somehow it disappeared....and in the place of my ball that I marked with three black dots, is a nice 3 year old rockflight.....

The problem I have with this is that often, as I approach that spot I picked, it starts to look different. I have been positive of my line and starting walking that way only to realize as I got closer I coudn't tell which tree or whatever is the one I was looking at from tee.

When Radar Golf was first introduced, I thought it was the greatest invention ever (not to mention, like most golfers, my friends and I thought it up years before it hit market). But once I saw the price of unit, price of balls and the size I realized it wasn't the right solution. So now, I'm trying something new (I'm gonna patent this idea) - hitting ball into fairway and on green! Don't be stealing my idea. The patent office is considering my application now .
