I played their persimmons for years. I haven't seen quality gear from them in years, just Wal Mart stuff. I wonder if these are really any good or just hype.

IMHO any clubs that need an info-mercial are not a good club. You never see like titleist or taylormade have one of those 30 minute long shows about a product. Ok, maybe the medicus needed one, but people wouldnt know about it any other way. Power-Bilt has been around long enough ( my mom has a 20 y/o bag from them) that they should not need an infomercial about there clubs. Will the hitter even notice a difference? Fuzzy was getting payed to rep them, i dont think he would go out and buy one himself.

Maybe Powerbilt can set up nitrogen refilling stations. Every couple of years, owners of the driver can pay for a refill.

imho its all pure hype. plus, who is going to shell out $400 for a POWERBILT driver??? its actually an old technology. there was another manufacturer a few years back that tried to sell the same idea. it didnt work either. you will probably be seeing these on ebay for $50 pretty soon. and yeah, the infomercial is a dead giveaway (i.e. The Hammer - POW!)

Don't buy into it. They can't have more than a 0.83 CoR otherwise they'll be illegal, in which case you're better off not wasting your money. Plenty of other drivers around which'll cost less and have the maximum allowable trampoline effect.

these are supposably the newest longest drivers.they have thinner clubfaces for massive trampoline effect, and they fill the had with nitrogen so it wont collapse.check em out at

This is one of the GREATEST examples of advertising fooling a gullible public.

There is NOTHING special about the insides of these heads....like every head made....they are hollow.... Hollow = Air Air is 80% Nitrogen Let it go.

$400.00 for a driver? Never
$150 head from one of the long drive manf. and a good LD shaft set to 48" gets the job done for me.

didnt rife ge a lot of notification for their putters from infomercials. They are the number one putter on the champions tour now.

I dont know, Im not into the hype on the powerbilt driver, but Im not going to knock it until I atleast try it out.

my local driving range is having a demo day tomorrow - and if I hit my driver further then the air force they give me a sleeve of balls and pay for a a range bucket or some such. The catch is the swing speeds with my driver and the powerbilt have to be equal or at least no less then the swing speed measured with my driver. It will be interesting for sure.
