Most pros kept their gloves on when putting until I think maybe the late 60's. I don't know who started the no glove while putting routine.

I take my glove off after each shot and for all greenside shots and putts, not for feel, mostly to air it out a bit so it does not become a sweat rag over the duration of the round.

well, i used to keep it on, but now i take it off after every shot so that i dont have goofy tan lines.... somtimes i dont even wear one at all. All the new grips on my clubs are soft, so unless i am having a huge practice seesion at the range, i usually just leave it off

always take it off for putting, i find you lose a lot of the feel and in that the ability to judge weight correctly.

I never wear a glove..although I always put one in my back pocket for mental thoughts. Every now and then I will use it when I hit my 3-4 iron. If it is 100+ degrees outside, I will wear a glove for Driver-P wedge, and take it off for anything inside 125 yards. My glove last me a couple months since I never use it.

Me too, I've gotten into the habit of taking my glove off after every shot, and for the same reason.

I haven't been playing long enough to know what I will settle into, however, I am tending to like the glove for the woods, and the driving range if I am hitting more than 30 balls at a time. Otherwise, I currently prefer to go without a glove.

I always take it off to putt - I dont know if it does much - but I like feeling like a pro and the oppertunity to give my hand some air.

Yep; definitely for putting. Think I have more connection to the putter and therefore a better touch. Probably bull though .

I take it off between every shot, not because I'm afraid of tan lines or anything, just because my dad used to do it and I started doing it too.

By the way, tan lines are funny, after about 2 weeks in the summer, it looks like I'm always wearing white ankle socks with my sandals and a permanent pair of white sunglasses. I think its funny and don't let it bother me...sounds kinda feminine to worry about stuff like that...

I have to take it off. Even for chips and short wedge shot. It has something to do with the feel.

    • Day 23: weird day, and only had a little bit of time. Just did mirror work again, working on where the elbow is in the downswing
    • I flipped over to this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone else watch? I picked it up during the golf relay event, but seeing these pros out having fun in alternative events was refreshing and entertaining. I’m sure it will be on in reruns in the next week or so, so I won’t spoil the outcome. Im curious what others thought of it. I’m recording it’s later airing to see the beginning.
    • Day 443 - 2025-12-17 Made a few swings in testing some things out at another academy. Might pop up on someone else's podcast in a few weeks.
    • Day 37 (17 Dec 25) - nine hole round with my good friend.  We got paired up with a couple of the men’s group regulars as part of their shootout.  Started off with a wonderful quad bogie and then a dbl on three to be six over thru three holes.  Game went 180° over the next five as I shot one under (including a chip in birdie on hole six and four up and down 1 putt pars) for a net finish of five over. What could have been a really tough nine became a solid finish due to staying in the moment and not checking out.  Great day in course management and keeping perspective .
    • Day 127 12-17 Backswing and flow practice. Took advantage of the 60 degeee weather(it was 20 degrees Sunday)
