  1. 1. Do you like Vokey wedges?

I for one, can't stand them. I made an effort to hit every wedge I saw on the market, and those had to have the least amount of feel out of any wedge I've hit.

And I know a lot of people say every other pro plays them, so they have to be good, but pros are playing custom wedges, that are not cast. The title website may say "Vokey 200" but that does not mean they are made the same way.

Yes, I carry one, and i am waiting for the day I get money to replace it.

I just got the 09 SMs and could not be happier. Heck the first shot i hit w/ the 52* was 100 out and i almost holed it. That said i love em but hey they are not for everyone.

Also what kind of wedge will you be replacing the vokey with?

They're cast. Bob will grind them how he sees fit and how the players like, stamp 'em for the players and whatnot, but they're still cast.

Personally, I love my wedges.

I had to find the right mix of loft and bounce. I had 60 degree Vokey that I hated.

Thats why differenct companys make different clubs. So that everyone can find one they like.

Personally i love my Vokeys, and i love my Mizzys..but alot of people hate my Mizzys. Wedges are incredibly personaly.. Vokey is so populard because he has alot of options and they perform really, really well.

My 54 stays home but the 58 is probably the most played club in my bag right now. I've had them for few months.

Very little feel. Initially I disliked the appearance, preferring more rounded like my Hogan wedges, but the first shots were so crisp I forgot about the looks quickly.

58 is perfect for me since I'm no longer good enough and don't practice often enough to handle a 60. I can't believe how many fewer fluffs I produce with a 58 compared to 60. The ball actually lands on the green instead of dumped into the front bunker. For some reason I'm much better with distance than accuracy so far. The Vokey wants to go right on me.

Seemingly every mid handicapper friend also plays Vokey spin milled. The tendencies are so glaring I'd like to wager on every shot. I literally start mumbling under my breath every time someone grabs a high lofted Vokey for a short pitch shot: "This will be 20 feet short..."

What happened to pitch and run with a 7 or 8 iron? It's one of the reasons the newfangled drivers have had such little impact on amateur handicaps. New ways are invented to sacrifice strokes elsewhere.

opps lol accidentally clicked no, but i do like my vokey lol

i wonder why they never thought about making a vokey iron set lol or try to incorporate the vokey grooves into a set of irons, hell theres probably something out ther elike it, i just dont know it,

not to change the topic or anything but do you think the vokey name would only be succesful with wedges or do you think it would be succesful with an iron line too

I love my Vokeys. When you say least amount of feel do you mean feedback or what? They definitely aren't muted.

If you want forged wedges with custom grinds and other options take a look at Scratch.

cleveland wedges zip grooves are a complete joke I have played one and they had no spin or anything wahts so ever. I was even having to club down from my 54* vokey to hit the 50* cleveland.

Thatd be pretty funny. Can you imagine a 2 or 3 ron spinning back 3 or 4 feet LOL. Thatd be hilarious.

Vokeys are good, but IMO they arent the magic clubs that they are hyped up to be. I personally prefer Mizuno wedges over Vokeys and, IMO, Cleveland wedges are just as good as any Vokey.
IMO, Vokey's aura of superiority is mostly a result of Acushnet's marketing.

I LOVE my KZG wedges! Try them or the Scratch wedges if you're looking for a softer feeling option. I've played Vokeys in the past (affected by the hype!) but if you do a bit of research you can find better stuff than the 'marquee' brands.

If I could afford a Scratch, Chikara, or Miura wedge, I probably would play them over Vokeys. But, I'm very satisfied with Vokeys.

I like my 355 vokey, but don't care much for my 252 vokey. I'm planning on replacing them both in the coming months. I'll probably replace them with Vokeys, but I like the Callaways, the Cleveland CG12s, and Mizuno wedges as well.

Never let the facts get in the way of a bad argument. Not too hard to check whether the pros' Vokeys are cast. The pros have all sorts of grinds available on site, all the time on any of their irons and wedges, which doesn't make Vokeys at all unique.

I can only compare mine to the PING MBs and Eye 2s I have had, and the Clevelands I demo'd, and I prefer the Vokeys. Mine have far more feel than my PINGs had. I like them, no, being Valentine's Day and all, I love them.
