I said last week that Paula has an ability to "bounce back" quickly as she did last year after her heartbreaking playoff loss to Annika. She did it again, as she is tied for the lead after blowing her 3 shot lead last week, and was passed by Lorena. This should be a very interesting weekend. I thought the tournament was being televised but I do not see today's round listed. Maybe I was wrong, since the website for The Golf Channel does not list it. That will be two weeks in a row without watching the gals. This is very unfair.

I don't think it's a matter of bouncing back. First, she hasn't won the tournament yet. Second, she is one of the best players on the LPGA tour and whenever she's hot she's gonna be near the top.

I don't think you can attribute incredible resilience to her until she is able to recover from her collapses in major tournaments and win one.

I dont think the next televise LPGA event is until April or May.
About Creamer, whatever. Until she starts finishing tournaments, Im not impressed with her.
IMO, she is one of the most overhyped golfers in the world.

You are right, and she admits that her failure to win a Major thus far is very disappointing and she is tired of the title "Best Player to have not yet won a Major". People were on Lorena's case too, until she won the Women's British Open two years ago, and then followed that up by winning the Kraft Nabisco last year. Some golf fans do not realize how difficult is to win a Major. Greg Norman won only two. Tom Kite, Fred Couples, Lanny Wadkins,Geoff Ogilvy and Davis Love have won only one. In spite of Lorena's dominance in terms of total tournaments won, she does not dominate the Majors. With all the talent on the LPGA Tour, it is difficult for even great players to win a Major. But that is what makes them so interesting.

Over hyped? you must be confusing her with Michelle Wie. She won 4 times last year 2nd only to Lorena (7). An American player hasn't done that since Juli Inkster won 5 in 1999. Also second on the money list, second in top 10 finnishes. She would have passed Lorena for the money title had she won the 1mil ADT last year, which she finnished 3rd at. At age 22 she's won more tournaments (8) than Lorena and Annika did at the same age combined, which was zero. Yeah, she didn't play well on the final day at the US open, but she played in the final group and put herself in position to win. That, and the totality of her year impresses me.

I think CreamerFan is the authority on anything Paula on this place.

She played great last year in Hawaii and fairly decent for the rest of the year. I don't watch much of the LPGA coverage when it's on, but when she's in the field, I MAKE SURE TO WATCH. Beautiful lady, I'd consider leaving my wife for her......no I wouldn't.....but seriously she's hot.

Great players still win their share of majors - that's what makes them great

in addition to their consistent winning of regular events. The very idea that majors are so hard to win is the reason they are the benchmark separating the truly great player from the good players.

Nope, Im not confusing her with Wie. Remind me again, how many majors has Creamer won???

How many times has she been in position to win, choked and thrown it away??? Yeah, I thought so...

You are right. One fact that many people forget is how young Paula is. She went right from high school to the Tour, so it seems as if she has been around forever. She is still young; is learning more each year, and has a long career ahead of her. She does need to learn to not "force the issue" when she is contention, and put too much pressure on herself. That kind of self-imposed pressure leads to tension, and missed shots or putts.

So tell what your definition of choke is? Last years US open I would agree...but why don't you list all the other times! You mean that merely entering the tournament and not winning is considered a choke! List all the times she had a 54 hole lead or even a 36 hole lead in a major and didn't win. You can't choke if don't at least have the lead in the tournament. Hell, she didn't even have lead at last years open and even if she had shot 2 or 3 under she wouldn't have beaten the Korean girl who was like 6 under for the final round.

Anyone noticed a wood that Mi Hyun Kim use? It's so long compared to her height, strangest thing I've ever seen. I couldn't find what club it is, but it looks to be almost as tall as her.

It would be easier for me to list all the times that she

DIDNT choke.

Paula's two under par today was one of the better scores, but nowhere near as good as Jiyai Shin's 6 under 66. She is a deserving Champion, and Paula can be proud of her tie for third place, one shot better than Lorena. No one is going to win them all, but Paula has started the new season out very well.

I lost what interest I had in the LPGA when Annika retired. I know there are other great golfers right now, but it just doesn't hold my interest anymore.

What is it with Paula and stomache viruses? She got sick again like she did at the end of last year during the ADT championship. It had to affect her play especially when the temperature is 95 degrees with 90 % humidity as was in Thailand. ...Shin was on fire, I think she birdied the first 5 holes on Sunday...I guess that's why they call her the "queen" of the final round or something like that.

The account that I read in the Associated Press said the cause was "food poisoning". A fair number of golfers do get that when they travel to Europe or Asia.
