I've been reading a lot about how great these new Winn & Lampkin grips are. Just looking to get some feedback from anyone who has tried them.

just ordered the g8 v17 black and blue grips and they are great. Work very well in the rain.

So they are good in the rain? That's great to know. I have tried them dry and they feel great...but I thought they might turn into "lose" grips in the rain. I decided on the Golf Pride multicompound for a few of my clubs. So far, they are great...though they are pretty rough on gloves!

I used the GP Multicompounds without gloves and really like them. As far as Winn and Lamkin go, the only Winn grip I like is the G8 and I've always been a fan of Lamkin's. I'm trying out the new Dual Density Torsion Controls and so far am impressed but I'm curious to see how they will wear.

I think that I might try to transition to no glove once my hands toughen up. the season is just starting here and I have the dreaded "soft hands" without callouses in the right spots.

Have tried the Winn G8's & absolutely loved them. Not only do they feel good, but they reduce the wear & tear on the glove as well. Haven't tried the new Lamkin Dual Density Torsion control grips yet, but might put one on an iron just to see & compare.

I'm trying out the the Lamkin Dual Density Torsion control on a sand wedge. So far, I love it. I use Crossline Cords on most of my clubs, but the DDTCs are more comfortable. Despite feeling good, they still have more grab to them then the average grip. Could be a winner for Lamkin.

I've used Winns before, and have been tempted by the G8, but the last several Winn products I bought just didn't wear that well.

Will most likely try DDTC's when I get the chance! Thanks for the response & happy swinging!!!

    • Day 87 (27 Jul 25) - Made it an easy session with the wedge this afternoon, worked on staying in the shot and not lifting out - split between low spinners and higher floaters.
    • Shot my new low 72 (par 70) today. Had 5 birdies, also a new best, which included a hole out from the bunker on par 3 6th, and another hole out pitch from 15ish yards on the long par 4, 15th.  Got a couple of other good breaks. Except for an OB drive on 14th (and ensuing double bogey), not much went wrong. All in all I might have used up a year's worth of luck in a single day.
    • Back in the saddle after vacation.  Day 1: played 18. Did not have it, but still battled to an 82. Felt closer to a 90, but that’s fine.
    • Yes, I have seen this from the older crowd that play the 4,700 yard tees and want to know why they get less strokes from there. Always trying to game the system 🤣
    • Day 300 - 2025-07-27 Good 44-ball segment. GSPro was acting goofy, so I just put it on the Quad. Then I hit a bunch of low spinners. Hit 14° down to 9.8° down, with the average closer to 12.3° or so. Focused mostly on the backswing. Right knee good, hands roll up and out a little before laying off (FAR).
