Yeah and they stopped producing Hogan clubs. The last models made were in 2006 I believe. It's a shame because their irons are really sweet and nice looking. And the new Callaway player's clubs aren't as good IMO...probably better shafts though.

In my Ogio Ozone Bag:
TM Superquad 9.5* UST Proforce 77g Stiff
15* Sonartec SS-2.5 (Pershing stiff)
19* TM Burner (stock stiff)

It's been a bummer. I have played Hogan irons and wedges my entire golfing life, and they are by far my favorites.

First, I couldn't find a replacement for my old trusty special grind lob wedge....now I'm going to have to hunt to replace my Carnousties. I've tried other wedges but can't seem to break my grip from my Hogans.

Gotta to try more clubs...

maybe those callaway forged will be a nice change...but the wedge change has me for a loop.

OMG I HATE CALLAWAY NOW.!!

Callaway has owned Ben Hogan Golf since 2003.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

And Odyssey too.

Anyway, like mentioned Hogan has been a Callaway company for a few years now. When I first got my job I bought my set of Hogans from my Callaway rep, and eventually corssed over to the X Forged because there is no immediate plan of a new line of Hogan irons, but, they have not discontinued the line either. Nor do they plan on doing so. I'd be playing Hogan irons if there was new product that is comporable to the X Forged, but since there isn't, I'm not. I have grown to love the X Forged, more so than the Apex blades I had prior at least.

Old news. Callaway has owned Hogan for a number of years.
As to Hogan ever coming back, unless someone buys the rights to the name and brings the company back, it aint gonna happen.
Theres not much demand for Hogan irons anymore, mostly because Hogan hasnt done anything new and doesnt really sponsor any top players. If you dont market and promote your equipment, chances are, it wont sell.
Most young golfers nowdays dont know who Ben Hogan was and probably couldnt care less.

This news is almost as old as my grandma (she's 89 so the news has some catching up to do; not much though!).

Spalding/Top Flite purchased the Hogan company several years ago, then Callaway purchased them primarily for the Top-Flite golf ball business... This pretty much solidified the demise of the Ben Hogan Company, as Callaway decided to promote and invest in their line of clubs instead of Hogan clubs... Furyk, Leonard, Langer were on the Hogan staff but all moved on to other endorsement deals... Having grown up in Ft. Worth and being raised on Hogan clubs I hated to see the Hogan company name basically go out of business... Obviously Callaway owns the name and the rights so they can do what they want... A tough one for Hogan fans
