yeah... I was just reading that offer, not sure what I would think either. Maybe TM paid Sergio to throw it, or maybe he's hurt and the TM staff knows about it. Too bad Nike doesn't have the same promotion with Tiger.

It is a great deal if someone was going to buy one of the drivers anyway. It would just be a nice bonus for you if Sergio were to win. If that word gets out Golfsmith will sell a bunch of them.

Actually Buick did something like this a couple of years ago. You could sign up online and if Tiger won that week you were entered to win his Buick courtesy car from that week. I think that he won 6 of the weeks that the contest ran that year. They haven't done that promotion again.

Yeah, what's up with that? The Masters is the 9, 10, 11, 12 this year, and the promotion runs through the 11th:

Seems awfully stupid to me. Golfsmith may very well find they've got a run on the evening of the 11th. Then again, the odds of that happening because Sergio's anywhere near the lead at the Augusta Putting Contest are, oh, between 0 and another small, single-digit percentage. BTW, here's what I'd do if I were you and wanted a TM driver:

1. Go buy a TM driver from Golfsmith or wherever else that's running this promo.
2. Prepare your form, but don't send it in (you have until April 30 to mail it in, and you need to send your original receipt).
3. DO NOT HIT the driver. Don't even unpack it.
4. After the Masters, you'll either have a brand new driver for free or you'll have a brand new driver you can return to Golfsmith for a full refund. Or a brand new driver you can then being to use, of course.

It's a no-risk situation, isn't it? Unless you lose your receipt or use the club or something.

No. It'd still be brand new. I think by law they're required to take it back.
