I did a little yoga before I picked up golf and I liked it a lot. I am definitely looking towards doing yoga maybe once or twice a week. You can find online videos which is pretty useful and some of the bigger gyms have classes daily. I'm sure theres some more golf specific yoga stuff out there and you can probably get better golf related results from them.

I have done it a few times with P90x. It is a good thing for flexibility. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be.

Yoga is great and has significantly reduced my back pain. I recommend a yoga mat also ($20 at Wmart or Target) I have Kathy Smith's beginner's yoga (got it for $5) I chose the dvd due to the fact she is quite motivating as an instructor (she is also easy on the eyes). Choose a DVD you will want to watch. If you want to watch a dude in spandex, cool, get one with a male instructor.

This thread is actually pretty fitting for me, as I am attending a golf specific yoga class on Wednesday. I have never done yoga before, so it will be interesting to see how it all works. I have had nagging back problems the last few years and I am hoping that this will help alleviate some of the discomfort.

I just started with Yoga about three weeks ago. I take it Thursday mornings and play golf about an hour after. I hit the ball great on those days. I say "yes" to yoga.

I did some yoga early in my golfing career. I think I signed up for the first class the day ZJ won the Masters. Now I mostly practice at home as part of a stretching routine.
