I know this is pretty trivial but I was just wondering what recommendations you guys would have for a new golf glove? I'm just looking for one to help grip the club for better control and it must be comfortable as possible. Thanks.

Im a fan of the Mizuno Retroflex. I find that they hold up really well.
I used to use the FootJoy WeatherSof, but I found that after a few rounds the glove would start to turn black, slicken up and start to bunch up on the palm.
I dont have any of those problems with the Retroflex. Im still using the glove that I bought in September of last year and the glove hasnt gotten slick, has just started to turn a little black and doesnt bunch up on the palm.

Best deal isnt the same as best glove though. Some may say that a glove is a glove, but I disagree.

footjoy sci-flex. They wick sweat really well, which is good for me, because my hands sweat alot...dunno why.

i use an older nike that has lasted a long time, but next investment will be the Mizuno skintite, nothing but good reviews so far, including this sites home page

Footjoy sofjoy. I just got this glove and it is nice and soft for comfort. Some of my grips are really worn as they haven't been changed in 3 years and with this glove i don't think i could make the club slip if i wanted too. They run about 14 bucks at my local dick's sporting goods if price is a factor for you.

footjoy has the best gloves out there. It has a very very soft feel when you slip your hand in the glove and it is very flexible. It doesn't have that leather that gets hard as a rock after you've sweat in it, and it costs around $15 depending on where you go.

You should try the Bionic gloves. I use them and they are extremely comfortable, not thin at all. It holds up for a long time and has a good amount of grip as well.

a glove IS a glove. i shoot the same without one even. ive done it. people who play golf tend to get too weird about stuff and put too much stock into silly things like gloves. hell, its the same as golf shoes. they can add comfort but cant take strokes off.

I prefer the Footjoy Sta-Soft. It falls in the highest tier price wise, but it has the best fit and feel for me. Any of the gloves in that high price range, >$18, are going to be about the same. I chose the Footjoy just because it had the best fit for me. I think there can be a huge difference in gloves in fit and feel. My advise would be to buy three or four that fit well, rotate using them until you find the one you like best.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I agree. For the record, the Callaway glove is one of the best I have ever worn. I've probably tried them all. For about $6 per glove in the 3 pack. It's a fantastic deal. I bought 10 packs just in case they disappear like things at Costco can do sometimes. One more great Costco tip. The hand dipped ice cream bar at the food court is BACK. Best buck and half you'll ever spend! (hold the nuts for me)

gotta disagree.

come down here to AZ and play a round anytime between late june and sept and then tell me you don't need your golf glove shoes? spend a day with me at the cheap local range and you'll see the mat start to rotate. if you have certain shots at your disposal that require a lot of power, golf shoes help tremendously.

I like these, too.

There is a local shop, Bonaventure Golf that sells the factory seconds Titleist players gloves for $8. These are very thin and soft...fit like a second skin. Grip is super.....they don't last very long, though...not like the gloves with the reinforced leather palm/heel sections.....but the feel is outstanding. They always have the cadet XL in stock....my size.
