shot a 82(+10) for 18 holes today. best round ever. it's actually only a 9 hole course, but I played it twice in a row.

so if my calculations are correct, i'm a 10 handicap and ready to go pro!!

age: 29
age started playing: 28
age started playing seriously(more than a couple times a year):2008
swing:totally self taught never had a lesson in my life.
height: 6'0
weight 195
squat: 315 lbs
deadlift:295 lbs

2008 was when i really started playing more. i played probably 8-10 times that summer (once a week on average) and now Im starting to play again about once a week)

typical yardages:
driver:280 carry
3 iron:230
9 iron: 170

potential? u think i got a chance to make a career or no? But let me also tell you that I hit a 3 iron PURE!

Oh and I'm a nuclear engineer major ready to drop out and go PRO!

c'mon guys, I want to see 35 pages of posts BRAHS!!

this is hilarious, i love it.

I think you are ready, I shot an 89 yesterday for my 3rd time out and this game is so easy I think I'm going to dedicate my life to it and just win the Masters next year. I hit it 300+ with every club so how hard can it be?

How can your handicap be a 9 if your best round ever is a 82? Dont get me wrong though 82 is great for only playing for a year.

You have some serious distance in the masters a lot of pros were hitting 7 from 170 and you could hit 9.

Man, I wish I had that kind of distance.

yeah BRAH, you can do it!!! but i thought you only played 9 holes and then doubled that score to come up with your handicap? i know you prolly would've shot the same 41 on the back 9 since thats what most golfers do (shoot the same score on both 9's).
hehe. that thread was hilarious

Yeah I admit, I wasted a weeks worth of skimming through hundreds of posts, but it was well worth it in the end. Good laughs.

I've tried to register several times but it said the registration was blocked. Since I live in the same city as 804 golfer I wanted to chime in on that. The course he plays is one of the easiest around and back when I played it I always came away feeling good about myself. The course never plays to the yardage (if the tees are in the right place to begin with) and those 30+ pages just kept cracking me up. I'm just glad to be in the same area as the guy, we're a whole lot better off around here.

Oh and I can hit a 9 iron 170 brah!

You have the potential to be a writer of fictionial stories.

I seriously think that you can be a scratch golfer within 1 1/2 years and if you work hard, hone your golf skills you can be ready for the Champions tour.

Brahs, I shot 42 (+7) over nine holes this afternoon. Sign me up for at least the Nationwide tour, brosef. I've only been playing golf for 72 hours.

    • I dont know if I really have a favorite, but there are two that have stuck in my mind for a very long time. #15 at Erie Golf course during the Finals of the EDGA Matchplay. Was up early and then lost a few holes in row so the match was close again. My opponent had a short putt for birdie. I hit past hole high, but 35 feet right. I drained the putt and looked over at my opponent who was in disbelief.   #8 at Whispering Woods during another year of the EDGA Matchplay. Was playing a very cocky opponent who made sure to mention on the first tee how many times he won the club championship at this course. I hammered this 30 footer that clanked off of the pin and dropped. My opponent was disgusted and that made me weirdly happy. I went on to win 5&3 or something like that, so that entire day has stayed in my memory.
    • Day 20: Did 30 minutes after getting home from work, before kid's baseball practice. This session was piecing out the new hip move in transition, doing 2-3 rehearsals from the top, and then hitting a ball from between P5/P6. Did another 45 minutes after baseball practice and dinner. Did 30 more minutes of what I did earlier, and then about 15 minutes of full swings trying to incorporate athletically.
    • Day 296: did a stack session.
