Anyone going to watch this show tonight? I watched it last year (couples) and liked it so i'll give this one a go. I don't think i'll DVR it, maybe watch it On Demand.

The one girl looks hot, and it seems she has some game.

DVR it. I am anti commericals and Golf Channel airs too many. Well, all channels do.

Looking forward to watching the series, and Hank is on after that ...

I plan to watch it and I have actually played the course that's hosting it, Mill River. Played it a few years ago. From what I remember it was a nice tree lined course with some interesting holes. Mind you there are a couple of other courses out there that would have been better to see them play, like Crowbush Cove. The wind there would have really tested their skills.

I hope it is the best one yet as they claim. Should be interesting to see who they picked to host this one. Seems as though they have yet to find the right pair.

Been pumped for this. I live in New Brunswick, just a stones throw away from the Island. I haven't played at that course but have played a few in PEI.

Beautiful place.

With 3 hockey games, 24 and Heroes on tonight, I think this will be relegated to the PVR to watch tomorrow. I have never seen an episode of BB so I have no idea what to expect.

Anyone know when they would have taped this?

elementz, what part of NB are you from? Im north, near bathurst. Home course is Gowan Brae.

I played the course their playing late in the season last year. It is a wonderful course, but I think Brunell river, Dundarave, and especially crowbush, are much better courses. Rated some of the best in the world actually. The choice of course actually really suprised me.

My girlies parents live in PEI, so I get out there quite often. Will be playing Crowbush again during the May long weekend If I can get a Tee Time. And spending 9 days there in July when her sister is home. And sis's husband golfs, and he and I get along really well, so I imagine the sisters will have lots of alone time to catch up :p More than they'll want.

Will definately be watching though!

My mom's obsession with 'Dancing with the Stars' has thwarted my plans to watch the premiere. Luckily I see that they will be showing it again at 11 CST.

It was good. Some quality golfers.

I don't know too much about the contestants yet but I'm glad the dude that went home tonight was the one. He seemed like an arrogant ass.

Yep, Mr. "It would have been 415 if the wind wasn't in my face"...couldn't hit an iron. Terrible swing to boot, dipped down at least 6 to 8 inches on the downswing.

The girls were gorgeous!

The Irish one wasnt the best looking of the bunch, but something about her is extremely sexxxxxxxxxxxy. Im Irish by ancestory (I have the red hair, but my grandparents have the accent), and i never knew Irish women were sexy before tonight.

Maybe its just her though. She's pretty funny.

I'm going to have to disagree with you here and say that Brian is by FAR the most arrogant contestant there. Horribly annoying. He hits a great approach in that challenge and was mad at the wind, shaking his head and throwing up grass etc... It was just UGH! I wanted to drop kick him.

Blair, Nicole and Kim are pretty cute with Gerina taking home the Big Break Mammaries award.

The girls were gorgeous!

Then you'll be happy to know that I'll be interviewing her every week for my

blog like I have done in the past with many of the Big Breakers. Her interview will be up tomorrow, along with Derek, William, Gerina, Blair and hopefully Brian. Those are my 6 picks for this season. I am also going to have Michael Michaelides from BB X on the blog to provide some commentary from a past BB'er. Hope you'll check them out and let me know what you think. Gayle

Yeah, I wanted Robert gone. He tried to force every comment, and none of them were clever or funny. I prefer finesse, or legitimate jerkitude.

Brian looks like the real deal there. You never wants the morons eliminated pronto. Just think how the Kaanapali themes would have suffered minus Lori, or Michigan if Dave had been an early evictee. Top priority on every Big Break is the cute women need to advance. I'm a Nicole fan in the early going. Next category is stickler types need to hang around and provide subplots, then get ousted when it hurts. Brian demonstrated real potential by referring to himself in the third person and tossing the grass after a successful shot. His comment in the elimination; "Is he going to use his putter again?" was sharp and well executed for an aspiring self-centered disruptor. Overall, not a bad opener. But the format didn't make perfect sense. Missing a 3 foot putt and failing to accomplish the circle from 120 yards are hardly equivalent in terms of odds. Yet the failed contestants ended up in the same place. A good guess is Big Break producers wanted an introductory gimmick and the walk to the 3 foot putt provided enough time for some bio. But they couldn't be sure if anyone would miss the 3 footer, let alone several, so they set up the auxiliary elimination challenge.

    • Day 56 - 2024-11-15 Light day. Lots of catch-up work. Checked the grip to make sure I wasn't compensating there, and did a little backswing work.
    • Day 197 (15 Nov 24) - Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management.  Solid round of 83 (41/42) - 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.
    • Have been on a mid to low 80’s roll of late - today was no different with an 83 (41 front / 42 back).   Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management, delivering 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.  Local course starting to get that winter feel - wet areas wetter, thin grass thinner, greens  trickier.
