ok well i had a match with my school last thursday and got off to a good start with a par(almost birdie) but then i hit one bad shot and the round went to crap, but luckily it was called because of lightning. So i though well just a bad day, Wrong!!! I had practice yesterday and did absolutely horrible, chunking, topping, slicing, you name it i did it. Plus i have our regional tournament thursday. Please just tell me it was the golf gods hating me or is this just a bad string of days. How can i recover mentally from this.

I'd help, but I never broke 97 in my four attempts at regionals.

and then they drag me to sectionals at ISU where I didn't break 105...

Put your change in your left pocket.

Now, tie your left shoe in a double knot.

Turn the hat backwards. Turn your hat around.

Take this tee and stick it behind your left ear.

Hope this helps . . .

That which does not kill you, makes you stronger.

It's called experience, and you need to take the good with the bad......and learn from both.

Enjoy the tournament and your game will take care of itself.

"I look like a fool!"

"What do you think you look like shooting chili peppers up Janzen's ass?" Back on topic. Forget what has happened the past couple times. The mental part of golf is one of, if not, the most important. Just go play like you know you can play.

The golf gods are always more receptive to those in need when they spend extra time on the range and practice green. Go to the range, hit 30-40 balls with your favorite club, don't so much worrie about where the ball is going, visulize your swing, work on your feel. Gain your confidance back, then go to regions a rip off a great round.

    • So excited you made it out! I live in Portland and go most springs. If you liked Sheep's Ranch you ain't seen nothing yet. It's incredibly picturesque and with a 2 club wind it's not a cake walk. But as far as the quality of the course in terms of challenge and interest, in my opinion it's easily the worst on the property! Also, Old Mac started as my least favorite (this was before Sheep's Ranch opened). But I listened to the fried egg podcast about it and read through Doak's descriptions and it totally changed my perspective. Now it's fighting for top spot. So excited for you!
