I have been playing a lot lately at a 9 hole (par 35) muni near my house....normally shooting between 39-50 for 9 holes. I think 39 was my previous low score.

On Friday I got in "the zone" & shot a 34 (-1)....3 birdies and one double bogey....pars on the other 5 holes.

I think I was able to do it by focusing in "the present moment" on every shot....but mostly I think the golf gods looked favorably on me for one 2 hour period lol

After playing good...how do you try to keep the momentum....just trying to focus on what you are doing right..etc?

Good on you. Personally I'm not a 9-hole person. I find that it takes me a few holes to "warm up" and if I stop after nine, I'm probably in the middle of "peak form" when having to walk away from the course. And that feels horrible.

don't get over confident and keep that mental game that you had last time you played. just focus on the shot you are facing, and don't rush it.

Take one shot at a time. I think the most important thing in golf is confidence. If you say you are going to hit a shot, commit to hitting it.

I have to agree with you on that part. I went and played 9 with my girlfriend's dad yesterday and I did bad on the first few holes, but by the time I got to 6 and 7, I was doing good and figuring out my rythm for my swing and how to play again. (It was my first time out this year). I have been taking classes like crazy and it was nice to get out and have a good time playing one of the best games in the world! haha.

Good job on your game, by the way, I didn't do nearly as well. I am too embarassed to put my score up, but lets just say I will do better next time. It's almost impossible not to.... I did win though, beat my girlfriend's dad by 1, that kind of helps with the extremely high score.
