Do you know how discouraging it is to go to a massive community garage sale and find stuff like older TaylorMade Burner irons w/ dynamic gold shafts for $10, a Titleist 983 driver for 20, the matching 3 and 5 woods for 15 each, a really nice sun mtn bag for 20... and have $0 to spend?

the irons needed new grips as they were literally disintegrating in my hands, but geez, what a deal!

I have been going to almost all the garage sales I see. Only a few have had golf stuff and it wasnt anything worth buying. Im hoping for a good find soon.

I like to scour craigslist. It helps me narrow down where I want to go. You can search your city, then refine that search by county if your city spans more than one. Go to garage sales then search for golf.

I just had my biggest golf garage sale score ever last weekend.

I got a sweet Titleist Stand Bag for $5.

I couldn't get the money out of my wallet quick enough! I still can't believe it. It's a sweet bag in great condition.

a few months ago i found two boxes of BRAND NEW Spalding/Top Flite blades and woods from 1971 that were still in their original boxes. they were the bird-on-ball forged Professional blades 2-9 with a 1 wood, a 3 wood and a 4 wood. they had NEVER even been hit. the lady sold them to me for $40 and I just recently sold them on Ebay for $250. here are some photos. definitely the best garage/estate sale thing i have ever run across golf-wise

I barely missed out on a craigslist deal where they had a Nike Pro Combos iron set for $50. =/

I did come home and try and figure out for an hour or so, how I was going to get the extra money for the clubs (all my money in the bank is allocated to bills, if i spend it, a bill doesn't get paid and I overdraw). I took a bunch of my books that I dearly loved to a book store, got $20 for them and by the time I got back the clubs were gone. So I lost out on the clubs, lost my books and ended up with $20 that I'm going to just have to put in my gas tank anyway.

oh, and to top it off, I got turned down for an internship too! great day all around. When I told my wife I didn't get to the clubs in time, my 4y/o gave me a hug and told me he loved me still... that was the best!

Oh yeah, my gf loves garage sales and she drags me and I found everything in my bag including my bag and over 100 golf balls and everything is in outstanding shape, so many old people buy new golf clubs all the time and they love having garage sales!

I remember those. They were great clubs. Came out a little before some of the really beautiful Executive models.
