I use them on occasion. I usually write something on the ball before or after the word 'practice'...

like
go PRACTICE putting
go PRACTICE your short game

...that way, when I lose the ball, and someone else finds it, they'll get a quick laugh at my expense.

I picked up some ProV1x practice balls last week, and played them this past weekend. They are flawless.

These are my new standard, and I like the price!

I have no problem using(read:losing) practice balls!

Like others have said they are the same ball, just stamped "practice". Even if they weren't the same I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Think I just made a great deal as well. Bought a shag bag loaded with 50 used prov1's. After going through them all I was able to pull 12 to play with, that I honestly could not find anything wrong with! The bag with the 50 balls was under 35 bucks. Not a bad deal!

In my Slingshot cart bag:
Irons: CCI 4-AW R-Graphite. Alien AG7 3-Hybrid.

Bought a doz. ProV1 refurbished from Meijer for $24.95.
Look good except for a 'refurbished by' logo on the side.
Saving them and playing the rest of my DPs.

Great News! I've actually had to retire some balls from overuse, instead of just losing them.

I used to be able to get them for $19.99 a dozen here. I guess either my local shop wised up or Titleist did and raised the price. I couldn't find them anywhere locally for atleast 6 months. They are back around now but the price is not $34. Still a steal, but I liked $19 better.

Only prob is, I dont think they are the 2009 version....

Hopefully the folks with more experience with the history of this ball will speak up....but I've been told to distinguish the 2009 version over the others by the alignment markings....the ball on the left is the 2009 version....it has two dots just inside the arrow points....the ball on the right is an older version. I've also seen older versions that had the dimple count on there as well.

These new versions seem much more durable. The last buy I made on ebay was for these 3 dz new for under $75 shipped. Went ahead an marked them during halftime of the Bears/Packers game last night.

The first dozen I bought from my course's pro shop were exactly like that, too. They game wonderfully. Used 'em for my round today.

Direct Golf here in the UK is advertising 24 Practice ProV1's for £9.99. Might pop down and take advantage of that offer this weekend after my golfing epiphany Tuesday just gone! :)

I thought the PRACTICE balls had a more durable cover so they would last longer as range balls.

No?

Doesnt sound like it Roblar. Even the Titliest site says there is no difference between the products other than cosmetic.

Thanks for doing the research I was too lazy to do!
