I've read some threads on these and thought they were kinda gimmicky, but I found some at my local shop and decided to give them a try.

THESE THINGS ROCK!

I played a par-3 course this morning, and usually break at least 6 tees a side. I broke only one today. I even hit a ball ridiculously fat and my tee took it like a champ! It even stayed in the ground... I'm still really not sure how that happens, but I'm sold! Zero Friction tees rock!

I used to be a big tee breaker..... since I switched earlier this year to the zero friction tees (pink in color, cause, well, I like to make a statement) I have yet to break ONE...... If I didn't lose them by keeping them behind my ear and forgetting them behind in the house, I wouldn't be down ONE tee from the package of 50 that I initially bought....

love 'em.... and one less thing to worry about....

I like how long the Zero Friction tees last, but like the look of traditional tees better.

I still use both.

My only complaint about the ZF tees is that they bend and I have to put a lot of effort into straightening them out before I stick them in the ground again.

I'm assuming you're not using them with irons? Or can they really take that much of a beating?

They will snap from an iron or fairwood tee shot, no doubt.

i use these same tees and i couldnt be happier with them. i take two out of the package to start each round and i typically end with both going back into the bag after 18 holes unless i forget to pick them up after my tee shots.

They will snap, but I kid you not, I hit an 8i fat today where the aftermath looked like this:

[ x ] <-- The tee stayed in the ground and everything between the brackets was divot. I could have teed another ball right then and there. Unreal. Try that with a wooden tee!

I'll join the band wagon, I have using them for the past two seasons, I have broken maybe 2 of them. I use the short ones for tee shots with fairway woods. I used the short ones off the tee on par 3's, but I found I do break them more often so I find a broken wood tee.

i used these one time and decided to switch back to traditional tees.. i like how i hit off of them and stuff, its just that the ball falls off of them pretty easy, especially if its windy.. so youll be in mid set up getting about ready to hit the ball and it falls off the tee which makes you have to re-start and re-focus.

Yep-I use 'em now with all my clubs, you can break one, but it's rare. I think there's a greater risk of forgetting to pick one up, which is why mine are bright green.

I break wood tees and don't feel bad about it all all. Sometimes a tee lasts an entire round, sometimes just a hole or two. It's alright though, my golf bag has a small pocket designed just for golf tees. It's awesome! It holds hundreds of the little wood pegs and they weigh next to nothing. When one breaks, I can quickly and easily grab another. I suppose if my bag didn't have one of these little pockets though, an indestructible tee would be a nice thing to have.

I am really pleased that no one is espousing the warrants of the frictionless aspect of these tees. They do hold up better and that's great, but the marketing will tell you you'll gain yardage because of less friction It would be like throwing an aluminum can at a freight train in an effort to slow it down.

Really? Tee insults? Some double lame.

I've used them for a while now, and have broken 3... all with driver. I don't hit them with anything else, except when I find an already-broken one, which I will use as if it's a traditional broken tee. I like them because they rarely break. I keep 3-4 in my bag, and I never worry that I won't have tees.

I've been using them for two years now......got a couple boxes at the PGA Show in Orlando.

The 2 3/4 in tees work terrific for my driver if I barely insert them into the ground. Rarely snap any off as our tee boxes are pretty sandy in Tampa.

I use the 1 in tee for par 3's and my irons have never snapped a tee.

If they are good enough for Kenny Perry, they are good enough for me!

I've broken them when the ground is hard, but it's pretty rare any other time. But they definitely will bend when you abuse them enough. Only other nitpicking I've ever heard spoke to the marks they'll leave on the sole of your driver.

All in all, I don't see any game improvement, and more people buy them for the plastic construction than the pronged design I think. I've used them for years just out of habit and likely will continue to. Always yellow FWIW.
