RockBottom Golf jacking up prices for Black Friday!

Just went to their site and they have a 15% off coupon. What they don't tell you is they jacked up some of their pricing on products so it seems like a better deal. I look at sites like RockBottom and 3 Balls almost daily and pay attention to pricing. I guess RockBottom is hoping that most people do not!

isnt there a site you can go to where you can punch in rockbottomgolf.com and you can see the prices they were charging 3 days ago, 7 days ago, 6 months ago??? there is a way to do that, i just dont remember how. then you will really be able to verify if they are jacking up prices

Yea, when its free shipping, the prices go up, when its 15% off, the prices go up...

I dont like their strategy, just keep your prices low, and dont offer coupons and manipulate the prices...

GNC does this crap and Ive stopped shopping there because of it.

I have always suspected of this type of "on sale" schemes, not only for this specific site, but in general (typical mother´s day, valentine´s and similar type sales...).

I just never had the time and patience to follow it through like you´ve done. Thank you for your time and for sharing this.

those are awesome irons. if they had the Arc blades i would've pounded on them by now. but the 4dx Pro's are awesome too

Hey there! Thanks for checkin' in. Here's a quick breakdown of how this Caveman keep his pricing as low as possible and takes the pressure off your pocket book. First, I set my normal price, which is almost always the lowest on the block to begin with! Sometimes I'll go even lower than this normal price when I'm featuring an item on my home page, in one of my newsletters, heck, maybe I just have too many and need to clear some room in The Cave! I call these my super cave specials. Specials could last a day, a week, a month, who knows! I like to play stuff by ear. But once a HUGE sale like my 15% off hits, all specials disappear because my 15% off pricing is EVEN BETTER! So yes, it could look like I'm raising my prices to the untrained Caveman, but in the long run you're still saving EVEN MORE! And while I'd love to give you 15% off my special pricing, I'd love even more not to have a 2nd mortgage! Thanks and I do apologize for any confusion.

Regardless of the pricing most of the stuff offered by Rock has gone down hill.I have using them for 6 or 7 years now and the stuff especially clothes is getting bad.

      I'd agree that 4w seems like the right play here. I'm not a course designer or anything but that hole looks like it could be so much more fun if everyone played from those front 2 tee boxes that are right outside your shot cone and they cut down most of the trees down that left side of the fairway. That would give risk reward to long hitters who want to try and push it up to that left fairway, allow more players to reach that second fairway, and still allowing it to be perfectly playable for someone who only hits driver like 150yds off the tee.   Yeah it looks like 4iron aimed at that inside edge of the right bunker is the play there, especially if you don't expect a 20mph tailwind again. If it is down wind again, 5iron would be just fine too, it'd still get you inside 150yds for your approach.  Keep in mind tee marker locations too, you measured that one from the back so if those tee markers are moved all the way towards the front of that box then 5 iron is probably best just to be sure that right bunker is never in play.

      Hit my tee shot just into the penalty area and barely found it. Swung hard just in case I hit it. It was slightly downhill with a heavy tailwind. I don't actually hit my 9i 170 yards.
