I was just looking at the new Lexus LFA on the 'net. OMFG that car is drop dead georgeous! It may be my favorite looking car since the Astin Martin Vanquish V12. BUT, I don't think it will be worth the $350,000 price tag.

I can't remember where I heard it, but supposedly Lexus is only allowing people to lease the new LFA. It's much like how Ferrari was with the F50 back in the mid-90's.

my neighbor has one of the new GT-R's. very cool looking car with supercar performance

They have super-car performance, but (at least the first model year) the drivetrain is rather delicate and cannot take repeated abuse. Not only that, if you take the traction control off and end up breaking something in the drivetrain, Nissan will void the warranty.

Very nice Termi, love those cars. Do you track the car at all? I had my grandfather recover my seats to resemble the Termi seats (charcoal w/ silver insert to match outside of car). I am getting new saleen side scoops for my gt since some a-hole opened their door into my stock scoop. Random, I know, but i am excited haha.

Was really into cars in my younger days...

I had an:
Rx4 13B Extend Port
Rx3 13B Turbo with 280RWKW on 16psi Ran a 11.3@120mph on 10psi
Rx7 12a Stock

I suppose that explains my nick.

Currently an 09 A4 and 05 Rav4 which is mainly used to transport me and the boys to golf!

My currently speed fix is met by an 05 CBR1000RR.... Of all the motor vehicles I have owned or been in/on this one scares the crap out of me the most...

160rwhp (half system and PC3) and about 260kgs with me on it.... Oh and a contact patch with the ground about the size of your palm....

All in good fun

Pretty huge car guy myself. Got into cars around age 13-14 and have been obsessed ever since. My current DD is an '03 maxima 6 speed. Pretty quick actually with 255hp.

2 toys that I play with whenever I have spare time. '74 Corvette and '67 Toronado.

Currently saving up for a used RS4. One of my dream cars and it will be mine In about 4 years...

i love the big old cars from the 60's and 70's too. im now looking for either a Pontiac Bonneville convertible (late 60's model) or a Chrysler Imperial convertible (mid to late 60's model) to add to my collection that can be seen on page 1 of this thread

I love that Toronado!!! Those are FWD, right?

Me too. Mid 60s to early 70s was THE golden era for American cars in my opinion. Yeah, late 60s Bonnevilles are sweeeeeeet, with that super long low slung look.

Yep, sure is FWD, mated to a 425, lol. Toronados were largely responsible for bringing FWD into the mainstream, for better of for worse. Oddly enough, I get way more comments from people about the Toronado than the Corvette. I guess because they're so rare.

very cool. yeah, you definitely see more Corvettes on the road than you do Tornado's. A relative of mine had one too when i was a kid. We all

oooh'ed and ahhh'd over it back then too. please feel free to post some more photos of it!

I certainly enjoy cars, not enough to go to rallies, do modifications and that kind of thing but I know a fair amount and enjoy them.

Currently have a Mercedes S600 as my daily driver. 493bhp, 590lb/ft torque and massaging seats...the best of all worlds

    • Day 209 (27 Nov 24) - Easy session with the LW - short pitches replicating greens side up and downs. Finished up with the 7i and hard foam balls - making 1/2 to 3/4 swings with deliberately slowed tempo…from varied lies.
    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
