Head moves way too much. It's not a coincidence that Tiger hits his best drives when his head doesn't dip as much.

I'm sure you hit the ball a long way, but I highly doubt you're consistent, especially when the ball's not a on a peg.

I actually agree with you about the dip in my swing. I just gotta get some advice on how to reduce it.

Golf is a game in which the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well.

Wow you have that Tiger finishing move down something fierce. If you had a tan and could pull off blonde cocktail waitresses I'd swear you were him.

Swing speed around 120? Looks like its coming through pretty fast.

Some serious speed dude.

Side angle looks damn near like Tiger! You spend much time in Vegas?

From the rear angle it looks like you hold the club a little low, are your misses a high fade or a bit of a slice? Seems like with that angle and the aggressive swing mechanics if you don't catch up with your hands the clubface might be behind at imapct and open?

Wish I had your problems, looks like a few minor fixes with a good pro teacher could make you (as Rocky's trainer Mickey would say......"A very...dangerous person)

Some serious power in that swing! I agree with the head dip, and maybe the swing is a bit steep. I bet if you could flatten it out a bit you could hit it a mile with a little draw. Nothing a good teaching pro couldn't help fix. Other than that, looks like a pretty solid golf swing.

I have never really had a problem with the "squat", some of the greatest players had a squat in their swings that caused their head to drop a bit. I have always thought it was a bi-product of a still head and a good pivot. However, if your head is dropping as a result of a set up error (too much weight on heels at address), that would need to be corrected.

If anything I would say throttle back a bit, work on the ol' 80% idea. 120+ mph clubhead speed is great, if you can control it, and not many people can. Overall, a good swing.

One of the better swings i have seen to be critiqued. Nice club head speed! I have nothing bad to say about that swing. The head movements are most likely due to the huge load up. You utilize your lower body power very well. Grip and rip man and let em fly. Nice swing.

I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.

Thanks guys.

Well, I´ve changed a couple things in my backswing. In the old vid I was taking it too far to the inside and then lifted it up. I also didn´t ristrict my hips. Here is my newer swing:

Golf is a game in which the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well.

I noticed in the first video you have a lot of lateral hip movement on the backswing. Not a good thing. You seem to save it with a very aggressive move towards the target during contact and the follow-through. The head dips, but i wouldn't make it a priority to change that. I think the dip really hurts Tiger because he swings soooo fast, but most amateurs don't and they usually have the time to jump back up with they're left leg. As long as you don't hit it fat or thin, i wouldn't bother changing it. Very nice balance though for such a fast swing.

Nice swing, where are you hitting ball into the snow like that? Can't believe they would keep the range open in those conditions.

on the new swing, i noticed that the clubhead leaks a little bit outside the target line when you first take it off the ball, prolly the first 5-7 inches it loops to the outside.

    • Day 18: 2026.01.20 Continuing work on arm raise during backswing. Starting to feel less weird, especially the slower I go. Looking like a busy week so might be the weekend before I can hit some balls.
    • It’s possible the graphite shaft has a small internal crack or a delamination. Tapping it and hearing a vibrating sound is usually a sign the shaft isn’t behaving as it should. Since the store wasn’t helpful, consider taking it to a club fitter or a pro shop that can check the shaft flex and integrity. If it’s defective, you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer.
    • It’s interesting how much a 3D system changes your understanding. Observing top players in full detail and realizing the trail knee shouldn’t fully extend is a great example of why being open to new info is so important. I like your approach: not trying to be “right,” but trying to teach correctly based on actual evidence. Makes sense why golfers would benefit from this perspective.
    • I would say both are equally not the best for golf. Is it better than nothing, sure.  Golf is an athletic motion. Professional golfers are doing a comprehensive workout routine focusing on strength, power, flexibility, stability. They might include some yoga into the routine. I would put both of them in the recovery bin, not golf enhancement bin.  If you want to increase swing speed, core strength, longevity in golf and life, then lift heavy weights.
