Anyone else sick of the Golf Channel playing all Tiger re-runs. I would love to watch highlights from ANY other player's amateur victory... or how about some of Phil's majors or Harington's OR any golf other than Tiger. Would love to watch some of the older matches. Don't get me wrong, I likle watching the Tiger ones, but I have seen ALL of them and they are WAY overplayed. Just asking for a little diversity here.

that's difficult... I'm working from home right now and I like to take little breaks and watch some TV, feed and play with my daughter etc, and I am going through minor golf withdrawals... so I actually have to watch SOME golf at some point in the day... and lately all that's on is Tiger re-runs.

oh wait... just got Phil's Secrets DVD in the mail today... that should take care of a couple days this week.

No matter how much they tried "All the Kings horses and all the Kings men couldn't put Ol Humpy back together again"By showing the good old days they are hurting golf more than helping.It is obvious that he aint comming back right away so why not show Phill or patty or Ernie who ie playing well,These are the guys who will be selling the sport for quite a while.I would be willing to bet Tiger aint comming back till the divorce papers are signed sealed and delivered.If he does old Stevie boy better start taking up Kung Fu cause Tiger will hear it from the fans.

I haven't watched The Golf Channel much in the last 2 months. The only thing I PVR'd was Big Break and a few episodes of Golf Central after the Tiger story broke. I wish they would do some more of their own programming in the off season; things like a new Haney Project and such.

I totally agree. Tiger isn't coming back anytime soon, so focus on the others. Maybe this week when the new season begins, they will move on. Hopefully.......

I too am sick with the Tiger re-runs. We may not have to watch, but there is more to golf than just Tiger. As previously stated I would like to see some of the others wins. I would actually like to see a review of this past years Masters, especially when tiger and phil played together....I know, I know, but at least he didn't win, but it sure was a lot of fun to see.

I was trying to figure out why they are doing this. I figured out 2 theory's

They are trying to make us sick of him by playing him all the time on the channel so by the time the season starts we wont want to see him on the field.

or

They figure Tiger is cooped up somewhere alone watching TV. meaning he will be watching the Golf channel and they want him to realize all his achievements and get back ASAP.

Sadly, I bet they are getting decent ratings on the Tiger re-runs because of the media attention on his controversy. Seems like the more Tiger footage they can show the better, for their interests.

It looks like I'm in the minority here but I enjoy watching the reruns of Tiger's victories, especially the 2005 Masters and the 2000 U.S. Open... Maybe it's because I love watching The Masters and I love Pebble Beach... Probably the main reason is I love golf history... I agree though, it would be cool to see some other tournaments... I'm guessing they don't have the rights to them but it would be great to see a replay of the 1982 U.S. Open or 1980 U.S. Open...

I think it has been great, and hopefully it will remind people that he is the greatest golfer that ever lived and people can put his philandering into perspective. World's Greatest Golfer is way more important than philanderer. He really is amazing.

No, there isn't. At least not when you look at Tour TV ratings with and without him in the field. A few of my friends are "golf fans", just about everyone else I know who watches golf is a "Tiger" fan, as in they might as well just call the sport "Tiger" instead of golf because that's all anyone cares about. The PGA had better do something to make the game more interesting to the cult of personality out there, or else they're in for a world of hurt. And no, "These Guys are Good" isn't it.

The Golf Channel is just showing us what they think everyone wants to see. They're wrong, of course, but they probably have 273 different market studies that say people would rather see Tiger clipping his toenails than other players, you know, playing.

Don't they do this every year at this time? It's normally called Tiger Week at the end of December - early January. I thought it had to do with his b-day being on the 28th of Dec. or something. (?)

      I am currently playing a Cobra Ltdx LS 9 degree driver and Cobra Ltdx LS FW3. Both with Tensei White stock stiff shafts and original weights of 12g (heel) and 3g (toe). My miss is usually a pull fade or sometimes a slice, swing is out to in. Driver swing speed about 112 mph. Grips are stock regular. Intended change: Driver: Switching to Tensei White x-flex one inch shorter which I suppose would be 44,5? Changing heel weight to 18g. Changing grip to Golf Pride Z-grip cord midsize. Change hosel setting to standard draw. FW3: Changing heel weight to 16g (apparently not available in FW weights, but supposed to be something called "internal weight" a club builder can add which fits between the weight and the screw?). Change grip to Golf Pride Z-grip cord midsize. Changing hosel setting to standard +1. The goal is to 1) get better grip since I tend so lose grip in warm and moist conditions with the current grips and 2) mitigate the misses to start more straight with less side spin. Also considering adding the Cobra Ltdx LS FW5 instead of my old Taylormade R9 and getting 14g heel and 6g toe weights with the same grip as the others and hosel setting standard +1.   All of the above is based on conversations with ChatGPT and, as everyone knows, it can come up with pretty much whatever but I spent a few hours asking about different perspectives etc and this was the recommendation. So, my question is basically, does it make any sense?   Thanks.
