I am in Boca and want to play tomorrow afternoon, and Sunday, unless we head home early. I don't want to travel too far as the wife is down here, and dropping me off, and picking me up. We are staying near 95. and Military Trail. Does anyone have any recomendations? I need to keep it under 100 each day. I will be playing as a single.

Thank you in advance!

Jay

I think your best bet is Heron Bay, but it's about 20-30mins west off the Sawgrass Expressway & Coral Ridge Dr. Golfnow.com has some good rates there.

Thank you! Great price on golfnow! I am booked for tomorrow. Off-topic...these bobsledders are insane!

Enjoy it and watch out for those massive fairway bunkers!!! They used to play the Honda Classic there so it's a great track.

Yes, my wife was so kindly pointing them out to me when we were checking out the website. Looks like a lot of water as well. Just what I need for a new swing change! lol. I am excited!

I thought it was curious to find that sky caddie doesn't have this course available.

Try Delray Municipal. Designed by Donald Ross, it's a cool place, and it's cheap. I have a place just in northeast Boca, near Highland Beach. There's really no shortage of courses in the area.

Boca has more than 35 courses in 29 square miles, so I don't think you'll have any trouble. Drive 20 feet, listen for the sound of a driver, then move toward it.

I second that. Delray's a great course for the money.

What?

You know my neighborhood? Now I'm scared. Seriously, though, with a 40 minute drive, you could be at Ibis, Bear Lakes, or any other of a multitude of hundreds of amazing courses. Don't limit yourself to Town Center, as most of the courses near there are kind of... well I've heard them called old manish. There is another great choice, although I haven't been in years, a little place called Red Reef Executive is a tiny links right on the ocean in Boca, near Red Reef park and Gumbo Limbo. Awesome little place, short, but hilly and a bit scary at times. I almost beamed a Ferrari 328 GTS with a Top Flite in '99.

Wow, that was wet! I played Heron Bay and was +1 through 5, and hit all five greens in regulation (a great start for me, particularly since I just had a lesson!), and the downpour started with the lightning sirens, etc. So, I have partial credit to use there within 90 days. For 38.00 on Golf now, that was a great deal, although the greens were on the slow side. They had posted that they were rolling at 10. I look forward to going back-maybe tomorrow. I will try Delray municipal next time down! I realized there were a lot of courses, but it also seems that many of them are private, at least based on the looking that I have done online.

Thanks for the input guys!

Perhaps. I took a look this morning, and thought the zips were different. They have gps in the carts, so it wasn't an issue. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, today was NOT a good day to play!

0% chance of rain tomorrow!! I'll be playing Doral - Great White so hopefully the wind will not be 20+ mph.

Have fun! I hope I am able to get out tomorrow. I have a business breakfast in the AM, and we are hopefully placing our foster French Bulldog, but we need to get the ok from the Rescue Committee. If this happens, I might be able to get out mid day while my wife does that. Otherwise, I will have to find something for her to do...shopping is out of the question, she does too much damage!

    • He’s also the best anchoring putter there is!😏
    • And  he  has had alot  of  health issues as you expect  from someone still playing at  67
    • Good read (pun intended) as I have been using my feet more to feel the break and trusting these 65yr eyes less.  The only caveat to my case is that most rounds I wear a carbon graphite brace that runs the length of my left foot (replicates the toe "lift" sensation while walking by putting pressure on the rear of the left calf muscle and makes a great conversation piece to the guys I play with), and I tend to find the weight sensation somewhat muted on that foot when I wear it.  I do occasionally play without it and the left foot read gives a better transmission of info.  However not matter which way I'm playing that day (brace/no brace), pacing off the distance and coming back about 1/2 way and getting a foot read has really helped me determine the break, the startline and oveall pace.  Using my feet has definitely improved my confidence in terms of putting.
    • To still be winning tournaments at 67 is quite incredible. He must also be the youngest person to have shot his age or better by however many times he's done it. Amazing.
