I saw Yang's 79.

Camilo is on FIRE ever since missing the putt in the dark at the match play event. He'll win this, and a few more this year.

I wasn't able to watch (sh***ed out after a prolonged squawk - aka a conference) but when I saw headlines around mid-afternoon, Paul Casey looked to be on fire - then he went back to finish +3. Anyone know what happened?

Yesterday the field was playing like we do! I've never seen so many balls in the water in a tournament! It was almost like a practice round for some.

Camilo went back to Colombia after the Phoenix Open to serve as master of ceremonies at the new Nationwide Tour event he founded, and didn't arrive in Palm Beach until late Wednesday. I wouldn't have thought he'd get off to a strong start, but he's -2 already in his second round.

Let's see how this Alex Rocha character does this afternoon. I've never heard of him.

He shot 41 on the back nine. Today, he started on the back nine, and shot 31. He's -5 on his round so far.

It's also very weird that for an American tour event of middling status, so many of the highest-ranked players in the field do not play the the U.S. full-time. The top nine players in the field based on the World Golf Rankings (Westwood, Casey, McIlroy, Harrington, Garcia, Allenby, Els, Villegas, Yang) are international players with full-time status on the European Tour; the top-ranked American, Anthony Kim, also keeps a playing schedule that allows him full European Tour membership.

Rickie Fowler is in danger of missing another cut. Alex Prough is sitting at T14 having yet to tee off today. I'm starting to wonder if the wrong golfer is being shoved down our throats.

Watched a little bit of it yesterday, and it looked like the wind was really swirling. With some of the pins cut very close to the water's edge, there were more than a few splashes. Kind of nice to see to big boys have problems. Makes me feel better about my game this year so far. The wind has been tough for months (I know, at least I'm able to get out and play, and shouldn't complain).

Sam Saunders, the King's grandson is -3 in 12th place with 5 holes to play. I bet if he gets into contention over the weekend he won't lay up like Fowler; his grandfather would disinherit him.

Update: right after I posted he went to 4 under and 10th place with 4 holes to play.

      12 July 25 - Got invited to a Sat morning round with some friends.  Was a decent round - sort of a pre-tournament round for the 1st of Aug.  Best play of the day - lost ball off the tee on 7.  Took the drop, hit 3rd onto the green, missed the par putt by 3 inches short - middle of cup.  Was a good bogie recovery.  Learned a valuable lesson - the wedge is your friend, the collars on the greens are just long enough that they kill the putter (unless you hammer it).  Back to more of those nice chip and roll drills. &nbsp

      Day 1: 7/12/25 exactly 60 minutes of chipping practice. Unlikely to be able to practice very much but sure had a blast today!

      Didn't score better, but made better swings on the course today. I found a bit of success on range pre-round, just hitting like what felt like 60-70% shots. It was more right elbow and right wrist angles in the downswing. Driver took a bit to work out the giant toe push draws I was hitting.

      Played in the first round of Shawnee Hills  course tournament. went 42+46. Just lost energy on the back nine.  Lots of pars and way too many big scores. Course has a lot of areas to lose a golf ball. This is the adjusted score.  I had to return to the tee twice. The first the guy I played with didn’t tell me my ball bounced into the trees behind the green. 😡 the 2nd one I hit a decent draw over the corner of a slight dog leg left. I didn’t know 15-20 yards from the fairways was nasty weeds. I also 4 putted and 3 putted a few times. I flubbed like two chips. Too long of backswing.  I was happy with my ball striking. Probably B-. Found a bit of something on the range before the round. I’m starting to actually feel my right arm position better with what I am working on. I striped some irons today.
