[QUOTE=msd3075;433619]I never swing more than 80% of my standard swing with my wedges because I become noticably more inconsistent with a bigger swing.

Me too.

I usually only have the pitching wedge and one other wedge. Most often it is my old Wilson that says pitching wedge on the bottom but has a flange with a bit of bounce. I have no idea of the loft, but most of the time from 80 in that is what I use, and less than a full swing. If it is a simple shot without much elevation change, I might extend that to 100 and use something close to a full swing. 80-120 I will most often use the regular pitching wedge and vary the swing length.

I've got a couple set makeups that only need the PW and one more wedge. I left my old Titleist blades at my brother's place. The Spalding wedge I threw in the bag is good from the fairway, the sand, and can be opened up around the green. It's around 55* of loft, but very versatile. I can use it up to 100 yards with confidence - relatively speaking.

With each set, the wedges are different. It really depends on how versatile the short irons and PW are. Typically it's: - 60* for up to 70 yards - 52* or 56* for 70-115 - plus 50-80 yard knockdowns - PW for 100 to 135

It just depends. From 70-75 downwind perfect Lie I will hit a maxed out 64. From 70 to 97 yards I hit my 58, then from 98 to 120 GW. But things change. If I am into a stiff wind or uphill I might hit a PW from 80 yards.

LW (60°): 105
SW (56°): 120
GW (52°): 135
AW (48°): 145
PW (42°): 158

My irons are all one club stronger, nice business ploy by taylormade. So my AW would be a PW and my PW would be a 9-iron.

PW - 100
52 (bent to 49) - 80
56 - 65-70

I know my yardages are short but they are VERY consistent so I'm definitely not complaining or going to jack something up trying to get more distance! LOL

56 deg sw 50-75
I have a 56 deg sand wedge but seldom use it for anything but bunker shots or odd shots where i have to get the ball up quickly such as a tree right in front of me etc. Id rather just hit a partial pw for those awkward 50-60 yard shots though ive been struggling with those somewhat this year, been practicing trying to hit sw for those shots at range.
