This is exactly why Golf Evolution works so well. Everything is measured, catalogued, and has a reason. Students see immediate benefit and aren't left to wander the wilderness of "let's try this..." and "you'll get worse but you need to work at it..."s.

All of the downswing initiation methods described in the video are attempting to prevent the "coming over the top" move. In my opinion they all appear to have some validity. One certainty in golf, there is more than one way to swing a golf club effectively.

The whole idea to have hundreds of tips and drills to fix a golf swing is contributing with more confusion than teaching. There are lots of way to swing a golf club wrong, using tips online, many of which are outright wrong, is like playing Russian Roulette with your swing. Spin the barrel, type "fix golf slice" on Youtube. Only this time, there are 100 chambers and bullets in all but one. So you have to catch that one lucky tip which fits your swing.

The sad thing is that a lot of the instructors don't know what they are talking about either. Chances are however, that you'll be better off with an instructor, which can be via the internet.

Note to people who might think you're serious - it only FELT like that to Tom. Tom Watson does not "come over the top of it." He does, however, come down on plane and avoid leaving the club behind him and beneath his hands, which is the shot he described earlier.

It's kind of funny, but for reasons I won't elaborate on why because it's Dave's story, not mine...
