Hole 12: Southern Pines
Hole 13: Mid Pines

    • Day 44 (21 Apr 26) - Worked on weight shift (adding a slight pause at top of backswing to “feel” the loading on lead foot)…hit a few 7irons using hard foam balls….later in the day worked with the grandson on pitches toward a 5 gallon bucket from 25yds using foam balls….great session on specific target focus.

    • Awesome! I'm playing it in 3 weeks. Can't wait. I've played Mid Pines before but not SP or PN. How does SP compare to Mid Pines?
    • Southern Pines today, 42 + 43 = 85.  I would say my driver kept me always in play. My worst shots were mostly just hitting the ball fat with my irons. So, I kept the hole in front of me the entire time. My short game is really good. I figured out a good feel for chipping or pitching. My putting is doing pretty good to. 3 out of 4 aint bad.  Yea, my low point and dynamic loft control is bad. Generally the ball is heading towards my target line. It's just trajectory control and low point control.  For my pitching and chipping, I feel like my right hand does nothing in the backswing. Just left arm only back. Then with a pivot, I bring both hands down. I would say I am positive strokes gained in short game. I am usually like neutral to slightly negative.  Regarding the course, I love the renovation. It is a beast of a course man. Those greens are nasty. Man, you need to have your iron play on point to score. Whoo, it's up there with one of my favorite courses down here.
    • Very nice! Congrats on your 2nd hole in one.  I'm still hunting my first (3 close calls in my past)
