today while at the masters i saw kenny perry at the practice range and he only had 2 taylormade clubs in his bag. he had a taylormade r9 460 driver and a burner 3 wood but his irons were nike victory red split cavity irons and his wedges were also nike victory red wedges i wonder if hes leaving taylormade

It seems a number of players have changed sponsors. I noticed Kenny wasn't wearing a TaylorMade hat a few days ago.

Brian Gay lists Titleist and TaylorMade as partners on his website, but not Mizuno. Yet, he lists his 8 irons + hybrid as Mizuno.

And KJ must have left Nike at some point.

I think you're right. It looked like he was playing a TM driver, either R7 Limited or R9, but I'm not sure on fairways. I'm pretty sure I saw him playing a Titlest ball (I'm sure Pro V1 or Pro V1x).

Was Perry shown at all throughout today's or yesterday's network coverage??? I've got both on the DVR, and if someone knows for fact they showed him a few times, I'll go back and look.

He's got the TM Tour Burner irons and TM wedges. Still using the Ping Craze putter

They are the g15s. surprising i know. That's why he was hitting one less club than tiger a few times in the final round.

Even if they switch sponsors, can't they play whatever they want, regardless of who they are sponsored by? (Or am I making this up?)

Some sponsors require that you play their equipment....thats what they are paying you for. Tiger has a 13 club contract, which is how he is able to use a Scotty Cameron putter.

I just found pics from this past Monday/Tuesday. KP's whole bag looked to be TM stuff to me. I didn't see anything that wasn't TM in his bag, actually...

I was at the masters and i was watching kenny perry at the range and i saw vr irons and vr wedges in his bag and 100% sure they were vrs

Most people have a 10-club contract with some stipulations that they use certain clubs the company considers important (driver, putter, whatever). Tiger's one of the only people with NO club specifications - Nike just tries like hell to make sure as many of the clubs are Nikes as possible. He kept a Titleist driver, Vokey wedges, and a Titleist 3W in his bag for a loooong time.

I'll be interested to see how this turns out. I'm a fan of Kenny's and a TM guy. His website does still list TM as a sponsor, and he's got updates from the first 3 days of the Masters. So, I'd guess they're still sponsoring him, but who knows.

FWIW, those VR Forged Split Cavity are some sweet-looking irons.
