Anyone booked in for the weekend?

I'm booked in at Fox Hollow here in Calgary on Saturday at 10am...weather is rain and snow all week then sun Saturday...and a high of 10 ( I have to hope the snow melts enough )....gonna be cold! At least the beers stay chilled

I am going to the doctors today for my cortisone shot for my tendinitis in my left wrist; if that is feeling better I am playing Cumberland Trails on Friday.

Sadly,

I will not be playing golf this weekend, they are calling for rain on sunday and possibly saturday as well. Additionally I have a 5k on sunday and a soccer game with my nephew on saturday.

I am hoping to make an early exit and play 18 on monday when the course is less crowded. Additionally, I am heading to Orlando at the end of next week and will play a few rounds while I am there.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

Saturday, supposed to be in a scramble at Castle Hills that morning, but weather looks grim.....never played there, company event, looks like a great course....

Sunday, playing at Cedar Crest in south Dallas, beautiful old course with rolling terrain and excellent greens....

Lincoln Golf Course in San Francisco with my 15 year old son. We are playing for his X-box power cord that I took away for one week. He has to beat me in match or stroke play.

Last week, I beat him by one stroke, excuse me, I am going out to practice my short game.

      I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
