Can someone please tell me the difference between the burner and burner plus irons? Or is there any?

Putter- Rossie II
Ball- Treosoft

The Plus irons are meant for higher handicap players than the Burner irons. They got a larger club head, thicker top line, larger offset, wider sole, higher launch and are more forgiving.

Thanks, I have hit the burners but not the burner plus. I was hitting the 6 iron 200 yards.

Correct.

The only thing about taylormade Irons they are usually bent 1 1/2 clubs stonger, so that 6 iron your hitting is more like a 5iron.

The Pluses are a little clunkier, bigger sole.

So the "plus" is really a minus?

..... Depends on who you are and what you're looking for... But I take it you already know that and were just being either sarcastic or arrogant. Hate to see how you act when you move into single digits.

Was that blast at me, big macaroni? I've never hit a Burner or a Burner Plus. I'm commenting on someone who seems to know they're "clunkier". Are they TaylorMade's "plus sized" model? Hey, some guys like a little cushion with the pushin' - more to love and all that.

    • Day 6: Worked on my putting stroke by hitting putts using only my right hand.
    • I've got pretty big hands but I've also felt the challenge of ensuring the grip is in the fingers resulting in a not on purpose stronger grip. I've been making some swing changes that was resulting in the natural feeling at impact being a closed face. My grip has always been fairly strong. Not trying to sound like an asshole or anything, but the answer for me at least was just to start taking the grip from a weaker starting point! I have a pretty ingrained hand and wrist setup when I take my grip. I just started turning the club to have an open face when I start my getting the grip in the pinky routine. Has been working nicely. Lets me have the grip in my fingers and achieve a more neutral grip.
    • @dennyjonesand I are planning to stay in the Poland, OH area Friday night.  If any want to get together for dinner and/or drinks let us know. We are not sure exactly where we will stay or what time we will get there but if we can hook up with any of you it would be fun.
    • Yes, this was a competition for local golf professionals, so I knew he was at minimum a pretty competent player.  I also asked what kind of shot he needed to play, if he had wanted to go steeply down it could have altered my thinking.  But he needed a pretty level angle of attack to get the ball up, and have it stop near the hole.  Given those factors, and the depth of the grate below the ball, there really was no possibility that the grate would interfere with his swing.
