Who do you think will win? It's obviously no longer one of the more prestigious events on tour, but it's pretty deep this year. I'm going with hunter mahan, ftw.

Btw, is anybody else going this weekend? i'll be there on friday.

Might go this weekend if I'm feeling better (cough+cold). I'd like to see Ryan Moore or Sean O'Haire win. Dustin Johnson is probably the odds-on favorite.

I really hope Vijay does well.

Me as well, Vijay is outside of the top 50 in the world and he needs a strong showing to get into the US Open.

My Picks though are: Winner: Justin Leonard Strong showing: Ricky Barnes Dark horse: Stuart Appleby lol and the tourny is already suspended due to rain. Darn crazy weather.

Looks like a little delay due to lightning, should resume in about 2 hours or so, rest of the week and weekend forecast is, HOT and breeze

James Nitties in the lead with 4 under, nice to see James setting the pace early

I love that Faxon is having a good first round. I hope he can finish his opening round strong. It would be great if he was still in the mix come Sunday afternoon.

Seriously! 68-69-67. I'm happy for him, and I hope this doesn't cause him to do something that messes him up later on account of early success, such as turning pro too early. But I suspect he'll have plenty of professional success when he is ready.

The kid is good, and has game no doubt, His father will keep him in check which will lead to success later on, for now I just hope he does well again tomorrow and most of all has fun

i've never really understood the whole idea behind ''turning pro too early.'' in europe, you turn professional at a very young age. guys i played football(soccer) with in france had been playing professionally since they were 18 years old. they were making lots of money, and forfeiting the very legitimate chance that by going to college in the u.s. they could be grievously injured, plus they'd already had a few years of professional experience on the players coming from the u.s. plus, they don't have the university athletic system we have here.

Had a blast at the Byron today......got some last minute tickets, what a blast.....

Normal Saturday, started off in the office, worked until 11:30.....
Picked up my buddy Sean, we picked up a sandwhich just down the road form the tourney - Kip Henley, Brian Gay's caddie was in line behind us - we got to BS with him, what a nice guy
We had a parking pass hook-up thanks to my boss, got to park off of the 16th green, fawesome
Since Faherty was with them, we jumped in the with the Elk/Day pairing on the 7th.....Faherty is hilarious....
The camera/picture guys were a blast, let us hold the cameras, had fun bs-ing with them on the greens....
Luckily Day was playing strong, that kid can flat out play, very impressed.....
Most fun I've had at a tourney in a long time......and I only had 1 beer
