well I worked on my takeaway a little from watching charlie wi videos,lol. I found that leaving my hands in the same position as address for most of my backswing and keeping my elbows close together fixed it mostly, i think. Before I was bending my right wrist right on the start of the backswing. Still not sure about my impact yet and how to fix the open club face. Thought about maybe rolling my wrist over a little more before impact??? I dont know yet. anyway here is more progress.

Looks better imo, you know Ive seen alot of swing vids on this site and I have yet to see someone with the correct takeaway, why does a move that looks straight forward seem to be so elusive.......hmmmmm

thanks,,I think because it takes proper study to actually see what it is suppose to be and most people only care about impact. I was taking charlie wi videos and comparing them side by side with mine in V1 home swing analysis software to actually see what I was doing wrong.

You're still going to need to do the other things I talked about. You may (emphasis on may) have made an improvement to one piece, but there are a bunch of others.

thanks Iacas, I didnt even see until just now that you gave me some instruction, crap. Il look over it. Thanks

And a private version, too. Don't post your video as private.

Ive been working on these things today Iacas. I am encorporating them and my backswing is getting much better fundamentally. Ive cocked the club more and kept my hands in, feels kind of drastic but the clubhead is actually on plane sometimes and a tiny bit above or below it, nothing like before when the clubhead was drastically below the plane line and pointing left of the target at parallel position. Ive done more of a rotation as well. One question about the backswing though, I was told to have my shoulders lined up with my feet at address so that would make my shoulder plane kind of flat with the driver compared to say a 7 iron, right? Im sure my backswing isnt perfect yet but I am working on it.

For later...

What do you suggest I do to fix this? Im really struggling here in my shots with the rights. I will drop alot of strokes once I get this area cleaned up a bit.

well I think this video kind of explains where I am wrong at impact. Im bringing my right hip forward to the same position that my left hip is in at the top of the backswing so Im lunging at the ball and have a hard time closing the clubface. Instead I need to bring my left hip back to the same position as the right. Kind of hard to understand with writing it like this but this video explains what Im doing wrong,

anyone else think that is one of the main problems? btw Im referring to the impact postion picture in the post above

just got my new camera and wanted to post a 6 iron shot for when I do some changes I can look back at this thread. I need more of a shoulder turn, i know.

Wanted to post up a quick video I took a few weeks ago for my swing analysis lesson. Its not my best swing but I can produce. In this video I come over the top a little which Ive always struggled with, Learned how to fix it and get my club parallel with the target line(when parallel to ground) on the downswing. Also worked on keeping 90 degree angle with right arm on top of swing (had too much flex in video) and moving my left knee more forward through impact. Will post another video in the future and hopefully you'l see those changes.

edit: oops, Im going to have to load it to youtube to embedd it into this thread. one sec

Lookin good man. Watched the video, definitely a lot of improvements I'm seeing with your shoulder turn. Can't see it all since its DTL but none the less, your back swing looks better. Definitely can tell you've been really looking into S&T.;

Looking much, much better than earlier videos. The first move from the top still looks OTT and across, perhaps still a flip too? Any recent head-on videos?

thanks man. Im working on the impact, Ive got video of being parallel at P6 but Im pushing the shots to the right that way. Kind of frustrating as I feel I have more control and tighter dispersion in my shots with the shot in the video above. Im going to keep working on things though with the help of golf evolution.

    • It’s not live on free to air tv in the UK, and hasn’t been since 1995. ( I pay a subscription to Sky for generally good golf coverage). There are limited highlights on the BBC for some golf events, but that’s it. Are other/all PGA events on NBC?  Allowing ticket scalping is a systemic failure across sports and showbiz, which could be legislated against, but in the UK is not in any meaningful way. I don’t know much about the secondary market in the US or anti scalping measures.  Charging more to keep prices down is an interesting concept, in practice no doubt you are right even if It sounds a bit Catch 22  Do you think sports tickets and broadcast rights  should be sold on a purely capitalist basis, or is there an argument to say that some sports might benefit more from wider exposure and affordable access. ( golf in the US is apparently not one of these if tickets sold out at those prices so quickly)  Fans might benefit from cheaper tickets and in the UK at least, TV coverage that reaches a wider audience.
