The NFL is doing this for their own selfish reasons, like they don't make enough money already.

Exactly right. And the whole dome arguement. Teams gameplan for that faster style that team may have but in the Superbowl it's supposed to be team vs. team. Whereas in the regular season you have to factor in louder domes in practice, you have to factor in slippery or muddy (pittsburgh) conditions. That's part of the regular season, but you're not supposed to have to do any of that in the Superbowl.

the only thing is it's not too great for FANS, but as far as the game I think battling the weather makes it that much better!

I don't have any sympathy for the "Fans" because most people who attend the SB are not true fans of either team. When it comes to the SB the NFL hasn't cared about the real fans for a long time. It's all about corporate sponsers & who's willing to spend the most $$$ just to say they were there.

Your correct, except for the fact that the All Star game in Baseball is played in the summer every year. Not in February. There wouldn't be an issue if the Super Bowl was played in April or May, because then the weather would be ideal in all Football cities. If the Miami Dolphins have to play the Giants in Jersey in February, who do you think has the upper hand?

Then sorry about their luck. Same as if Green Bay goes and plays in Miami and not acclumated to the heat. These guys are getting paid millions to play a kids game, they can suck it up and put on the under armour. Even if my team was a warm weather team (which they aren't) and got stuck at Lambeau, so be it, if they can't adjust and play to win then they deserve to lose. Jacksonville came into Pittsburgh a few years ago when it was wind chill of zero and snow/ice on the field and put a whoopin on the Steelers.

      Day 27 - 2026-01-16 Played 18 with some of the usual "too many voices" going on when I'm working on swing stuff. Fun to get out in great bay area winter weather.

      I know one recent college grad who's trying the same thing.  This guy was a Division III All-American, went on to play one year at Division I LSU, and is not working hard.  He won the Gulf States Open, a pro event, and made it to the second stage of the Korn Ferry Tour School late in the fall.  And didn't make the cut to get to the final stage.  I won't talk about swing or play stuff, but I believe there are a couple of things that are essential.  Obviously, talent, and drive, or work ethic.   I can't tell you how to do it, but you HAVE to get through it.  Golf is going to be your life, and it takes lots of work. Two more things that are really critical.  You'll need the facility to be able to practice.  My young friend stayed in Baton Rouge, as a past player on the team he can still use the LSU practice facilities.  And money.  Its unlikely you'll be able to work a full-time job and practice the way you will need to.  You'll probably need backing, from a parent, from a consortium of friends or club members., something to support you. Good luck, its not an easy path, but anything is possible.  Another young man from our area, Mike Brennan, just won for the first time on the "big" PGA Tour.

      Get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. If you don’t like practicing then give up now. You don’t have the passion to become a pro. Unless that mentality changes you won’t do well under stressful situations.    Call the PGA Tour and ask. They probably have resources available.
