Thanks for the sarcastic response. I refer you to my "I haven't seen it but...". Try reading next time; I might even do likewise.

You actually posted, "I haven't seen it

posted but . . . " - sarcasm is something I'm trying to cut down on - I suspect you have that issue as well. The interweb is not helping.

Why is the golfer responsible? I see it like a baseball game or something. They tell you to watch out for flying balls. It comes with the territory of driving on a road right along a golf course. Say I'm a golfer who typically hits the driver well, but my misses tend to be pushed right. It's not my problem that they built a course with a road on the right side of the hole? I don't know where you guys play golf, but around here, almost every course has a hole with a road alongside it, and it would never be the golfers problem..

I don't quite get the analogy. If you're at a baseball game you willingly purchased a ticket to enter the stadium and as a result, assume responsibility for your own safety when it comes to foul balls.

If you are legally driving on a legal road, you as the driver, have the right of way. If you were driving through a construction zone and a worker dropped a steel beam on your car, crushing it, are you saying the damage would be your fault for being on the road?
my get up and go musta got up and went..

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Any courses I play at always have on the scorecard that golfers are responsible for any personal or property damage that occurs...

But I agree that the club pro has to be loyal first to his employer, and if it is understood on that course that the course management is not responsible for damages then it's his JOB to make sure that's enforced, otherwise the damages fall on his boss and that is not going to go over well.

Besides, why should the course have to pay $200 because someone has a bad swing.

    • This was fun yesterday Tee shot plays downhill about 20yds, and it was slightly downwind plus very firm fairways. There's a creek that's about 275 to carry, so about 255-260 flat carry, carried that easily and got about 60yds or so of roll. Having 9i from the fairway into a 518yd par 5 is a fun way to play golf. That is probably the longest drive I have ever hit.  Hit the 9i onto the green and 2 putted for an easy birdie.
    • LFG!!! I luuuuv Mammy-boy...
    • Yeah Sedge is so much fun. I shot a 77(Par 68) out there, and then shot a 77(par 73) the next day at Mammoth. I should have shot a 75 at Mammoth but somehow took a double on 17 after my drive left me 100 yards from the green. Sedge is a decent challenge. Mammoth is too easy, but still pretty. My buddy is a 25 handicap roughly so that is why we played there.
