I typed in Ben Hogan tonight and this is what it came up with. This is the best footage I've ever seen. Swing after swing with club after club at every different angle!

The Story goes, it was put up by the son of the dude who'd originally shot the footage with Hogan's permission. In 1956 Mexico. Really Cool!

How do you do that?

I'm pretty sure it's illegal but there is a program called GetTube that allows you to download youtube videos. If that's not pirating I don't know what is. I think there are other ways to do it as well but i don't know

How do you do that?

If you're using a Mac, in Safari you can hit option>cmd>a and bring up the source code (not page source, but server source), and then double click on the streaming file... it downloads as an SWF (flash file), you can then just use VLC to convert to mp4

maybe it's illegal, i don't really care... just want to watch it, even when I might not have a decent internet connection.

Nah, not illegal in one bit. You go to

http://www.savetube.com/ and use that to save it. Just in case it does dissapear, I saved a copy. Ben, if you can't get it, I can send you a copy.

Sometimes, when my swing goes south, I just go on youtube and find a Hogan video. His motions are just perfect. After watching them for 10-15 minutes, then getting out a club and making some practice swings in the back yard, all is well again.

Thanks for posting this one. I'll add it to my "Hogan Youtube Videos" folder.

This video is priceless. I watched it the other day and got that sweet rhythm in my head. Today I had a great practice session on the range while trying to mimic his tempo and acceleration from downswing through impact. I was killing the ball. I'm going to watch this video everyday for the rest of my life. Thanks for everything Ben Hogan!

It's not illegal to download a copy of a video if its for personal use. It's not like you are downloading Avatar, you are downloading footage on a free website so you can view it at a later time. If you were to take the video, and then try to pass it off as your copy and/or even try to make money off it...that is illegal.

If it were illegal, then plugins for Firefox like "Flash and Video download" would probably be illegal.

Also surprised how much his head moves back on the backswing during longer clubs. For some reason was under the impression his head didn't move much at all. Look at 1:30 in to see the checkered wall background.

      Okay, I'm genuinely curious about this "biodegradable leather" trend in golf. Are we talking snake oil here? I mean, golf balls, clubs... they all end up in the water eventually. Is this just greenwashing, or is there actually a real environmental benefit? And honestly, does it even perform as well as traditional leather? I don't want to sacrifice distance for the planet, you know? Anyone with real-world experience with these eco-friendly golf goods? Spill the tea!
