There are some classy gals on the LPGA - there are some hogs too - just like real life.

BTW - the can wear skirts without looking like hookers.

Same goes for shorts:

They can also look hot in pants.

But, LPGA women certainly have the right to tailor their tournaments to what their sponsors are selling. Keeping their tour financially viable in these tough times helps golf for the long run.

This is what I tried to elaborate already before: LPGA players' skills have not been adequate to attract spectators but they need to look sexy in order to do that. Sponsors naturally support that kind of development as they are paying big money to get visibility.

However, not only LPGA women dress on the golf course like on Malibu Beach but all young (and unfortunately some elderly, too...) women want to look the same. In the end it is not just LPGA and their freedom to decide what they do on their own Tour but this habit of showing more than hiding has spread throughout the golfing world down to 12-year-old girls. That's why it's pathetic and I hate it. No respect to golf, none. One can look classy with respect if one wishes, as already seen from the pictures posted.

Thank god none of the LPGA ladies are dressing like a certain Williams sister, they would have to hand out barf bags to the galleries.

Agree.

Ahhh, thats what those are called? I kept asking the wife how Tiger gets away with no collar, and she said that it WAS a collar. Seems like a stretch to me...... but hey! If its within the the rules.........cool.

A previous poster has already posted a pic of the "tacky" Christina Kim's sloppy dress attire....

If we could pair Christina Kim with John Daly in a mixed best-ball, that would really light up the cameras!

At least Big John was trying - he was giving the tobacco diet the old college try!

But those ladies DO have collars. What they do NOT necessarily have is sleeves and hem...

Makes no sense. Men are expected to wear a collared shirt because men's dress has traditionally included a collar. Women's dress has never had such a requirement. You can reasonably complain about the dress code being too lax (though I typically argue strongly against dress codes in general), but it's absurd to suggest that women's dress should mimic men's code. If your course does this, they've completely missed the point of traditional golf attire.

Some of you hold the game of golf in too high of regard. It has nothing to do with respect. They are playing a game, not having dinner with the Queen of England.

I read a story about Sandra Gal couple weeks ago - she normally wears very short skirts or pants - during that specific tournament nobody seemed to complain about - when she wanted to play the course again with one of her "tight" outfits after the tournament was over, some lady at the club made her respect the dress code and she had to change.

When i look at the dress code of our girls at our club i sometimes have to wonder - why would you wear "almost next to nothing" on a golfcourse, but then again dress more "decent" when you are back in public. I highly doubt that they would wear these outfits to school e.g. But hey, who am i to complain when some long legged teens show off :)

And I suppose that any of you would wear one of John Daly's outfits to your sister's wedding? I wouldn't even try such things on in the privacy of a department store changing room. Then too, some shapes just don't take to looking good in any sort of golf attire. They should be barred from playing or being comfortable because of that? As long as they are within their respective tour's dress codes, I don't think that it's our place to criticize. I've never seen anything I'd call indecent on the LPGA Tour.

I wouldn't wear golfing clothes to an immediate family member's wedding.

What is the LPGA's dress code anyway? People wearing the shorts and shirts popular with some women pros would be turned away at front door of many courses.
