I put the clubs away. I will try to get down to florida in November and play a few rounds while I am there. But golf is for warm weather. In the cold I play with cold weather toys.

p.s. this isn't my sled, I don't have any pictures of them in the snow.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

Once the snow flies, I don't touch the clubs until the first time I tee it up in the spring.

From October-April I play ice hockey. X-country skiing when we get a good base. And play Tiger Woods golf where I can AVERAGE 300+ yard drives.

After I started playing golf in late August, I knew my opportunities were going to be limited fairly quick living in Wisconsin. I played most weekends from end of August to the last weekend before Thanksgiving. From December through March, I went to the local dome once a week to work on irons and short game...I knew I wanted to get better and in order to do that I had to practice, practice and practice as much as I can...After work I putt and chip in my basement daily...

I moved form New Zealand to Calgary, and lost 6 months of golf time.....this winter I was at indoor ranges....tried virtual golf, but don't like it.....-35 degrees is something surreal.

Tiger woods PGA tour golf.... Not much to do outdoors in the Northeast during the winter. Especially with the kind of winter we just had.

Last fall was unusual for me, since I joined an indoor golf league. Whoever says hitting off mats is not like real golf isn't hitting off very good mats. It's pretty easy to tell if you've hit one crisply or fat, and if you can't tell, the simulator picks it up. But last year was an anomoly - not sure I'm willing to pay $100 per month for any simulated sport.

Once the water freezes on the ponds, golf will probably take a backseat to skates, sleds, snowboards, and other words that begin with "s".

I live in northern Iowa. During the winter months I focus alot on weights and take the month of december off to just relax and get away from things. Once the new year starts I go to an indoor golf academy and try to go to indoor ranges.

Not a thing. I put the clubs away in October sometime and bring them back out a week or two before Easter. I play every Easter weekend with friends so that is my offical start to the season.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I'm surprised. Having spent a few consecutive weeks in Springfield Feb '09, I would never the shelve my sticks. Granted, there were some cold days but there were warm ones too.

Not too far up north like some of the guys here, being in Seattle, winter months can be brutal with rain. December, January, Februray are usually my months where I'm not on the course. I'll hit the driving range but not nearly as much as summer months.
I remember when I was in high school, golf season was spring time...which meant my personal training starts in winter. Grab the rain jacket and rain pants and off to the course I go with 30-40 degree weather with constant rain. wasn't too fun now that I think back on it.
