What Wedge is better

i've looked through the forums and i havent seen this question asked quite this way... Im looking to buy a new wedge and my two choices are the cleaveland cg15 or the vokey. I was just wondering what you guys play and why you like it?

not to thread jack, but if someone has any experience with the tmade xft and z series wedges, id like to hear about them too/ how they compare.

Golf is about 90% confidence, its more about what you're comfortable with when you step up to the plate.

My confidence comes from vokeys.. has been ever since I've played. You set it down and just expect it land exactly like you want to with the silky smooth feel. And if you cant stop a vokey on a dime then you're probably hitting rocks instead of golf balls.

I want to hit a vokey. One thing I do like about them is the flat spot on the sole of the club, seems like it would glide through rough grass easier around the greens especially on chip shots

I have the z series, love them.
No different than any other wedge though, not as heavy as a head as cleveland and some others
but they check more than enough.

don't get the CG15's, i've tried it multiple times and I don't see a difference with the laser milled mini grooves. vokey's are probably the best, but I personally play the Nike Victory Red Wedges because they're the most forgiving to me.

as for the Taylormade wedges, I've never tried them but i've heard many good things about it. (was about to try them but the victory reds felt perfect to me so I got them instead)

^ This. There is nothing "best" when it comes to golf. It is all about who gets what sort of confidence out of his gear and also how much they want to spend on there gear. I get confidence out of my Nike equipment so that's why I went with it.

If it fits you properly, yes. Get the wedge that you like the best, that fits your game and you should be good to go. For that reason, I'm a big fan of Scratch wedges. They have a ton of options so you're sure to find a wedge grind that fits you exactly right out of the box. I prefer their 1018 line but I've read a ton of good stuff about their 8620 wedges as well.

Of those that you mentioned, I'd likely lean towards the Vokey wedges for the same reason. There are a bunch of grind options available right out of the box that fit the majority of golfers. Get the right one for your game and you should be good to go. If you're not opposed to having some custom work done... Then I'd look at either the Scratch Tour Department wedges or Miura.

I play the Callaway X-Forged wedges, and love them. I have hit a few vokeys and couldnt get the feel down for some reason. They are great wedges tho. I tried my buddy's CG14 and it was a little too hot off the face for me.

Really like Cleveland and Mizuno, with Mizuno being my favorite.

I like Vokey....always have...specially the spin milled. I was leaning towards CG15 lately, but mostly out of curiosity .... I really like the feel and clear options you can get with Vokey's. I am not a fan of ambiguous definitions such as standard that you get in Cleveland...I like numbers!!!!

I looked at the Z and didn't like them, While the face looks like it will create some mean spin, the back loos like cheap silver paint.....I have seen clones with better finishes. Like others have said, it's about confidence....Vokey inspires that confidence in me...I know that if I screw up a shot or not meet my goal is not bcs I have crappy wedges..

just got back from golf galaxy and went around testing/ swinging all the wedges. -vokey -cleveland -callaway -mizuno (no taylormade tried) and out of all of those the ping w series wedge looked best at address, felt the best, swing weight was real nice, nice grooves, and head size and bounce were exactly to my liking.
