We have a 1 year old and a 3 year old, we got her dad to watch them.

no offense, but i think it's more fun for you two to play together because you're both relative beginners(just judging by handicap). so neither of you really gets overly frustrated cause expectations are low and you're both happy with good shots. it's only when you expect to hit good shots and the gf/wife wants to hit just like you that she gets really frustrated and will demand you pay more attention to her improving her golf game than you improving yours.

My wife & I go go out twice per week for Lunch, conversation while Golfing, and Sex. She goes on Tuesdays, I go on Fridays!

What???

So she goes on Tuesdays for lunch, conversation, golf and sex, and you go on Fridays for lunch, conversation, golf and sex? Who are you guys having sex with? Sounds like not with each other... LOL.

Yeah, here and there. typical stuff: head down, swing through the ball, step a little closer.

I don't think I'll ever take my wife golfing, we do plenty of stuff together and she knows that golfing is the one thing I like to have to myself. She does like watching golf though and she's always ragging on the pros about missing putts saying that putting "Looks easy". I'm thinking of taking her to the putting green just to show her how hard it really is..........................Of course if she does well it could backfire on me. :)
my get up and go musta got up and went..

My wife are very competitive, so golfing together can get a bit intense at times...but at the end of the day we really enjoy it. She's 8.5 months pregnant, and when I took her out this weekend for the first time in probably 2-3 months she was hitting 200 yard drives straight down the fairway and hitting darts up to the green. I was amazed. She ended up shooting 13 over at our local par 64...good thing I shot 10 over :)

I'm dealing with this myself. My girlfriend started playing last year and really loves to play. Her swing is very inconsistent. My biggest issue is...if I coach her...swing and golf philosophy..etiquette...etc the whole 9 yards...I don't focus properly and my game seems to fall apart. She really loves to play but clearly sees the effect that playing with her has on my game...lately I've been modifying my state of mind when playing with her to a "practice round" where I work on things or try things that I might not if I were really trying for a good number.
