To OP,

My goal is to get to a single diget cap. I guess the point of my post is that i think if stop trying to improve and just played what I had, I would drop several strokes.

If you have to ask that question, you should give up the game. Basically, you have lost the enjoyment of playing and trying to improve.

I don't agree, infact I think I would enjoy myself more if I just accepted the game I have and play it.

I agree with 'acegolfer'. What do you want to do? There are many on this forum that were/are in a similar position. You basically have two choices.

I guess number 2 is the other way to go, I do have a good pro I work with form time to time, but usaully I just go see him when my swing gets wacky
