My 2h (picked up at play it again sports) is a Nickent like the OP's (a 4dx though). I call it the hook-o-matic. Never had the guts to use it on the course - I only hang onto it because I want to use the shaft for my WS Fybrid (maybe). The Fybrid is neutral and plays more like a long iron.

I'm actually considering replacing the shafts in my Baffler DWS and Heavenwood with something heavier and stiffer, maybe even steel, but I

love the ProForce in the FYbrid. I also like the neutral head, I agree that it plays like a 2 or 3 iron that's just easier to hit.

This is somewhat unrelated but.............I took a few swings with my friends' Titleist 980F 15 degree steel shafted 3 wood the other day. I can't believe how much easier it is to feel the head with that club compared to a graphite shafted 3 wood. I seriously might change my fairway woods to steel shafts. It was like swinging an iron.

I just went through this exact same problem. My problem was I was hitting the ball more off the toe instead of in the center of the face.

Put some dry erase marker on a ball and see where on the face you are making contact.

Has anyone replaced their hybrid graphite shafts with steel? I'm thinking of replacing mine - I can't seem to go after the ball like used to with my Callaway 7 wood. Regarding the off-set, it does it some used to.

I would guess the OP's issue is related primarily to a too-soft shaft flex.

I have stiff steel shafts in my Ping G10 Hybrids, and they are long enough and very accurate. But not quite good enough to replace my fairway woods in the bag (for now).

Early this season i was pushing a lot of my iron shots but i was hitting my cobra baffler 2 H with a stiff steel shaft very straight and sometimes with a nice draw. But then later in the season when i started to hit my irons well, i also started to hook the crap out of my hybrid. that is cuz the shaft is just way too stiff.

Everybody is different, but usually a too-stiff shaft produces a push or a fade. I know I start overdrawing/hooking if I overpower the shaft or the flex isn't strong enough.
