I can't believe your caddy handed you the wrong club.

Its always the caddies fault. I did that last week, was excited about getting a birdy shot once i got on the green and grabbed my 60 instead of my 56, came up about 50 yds short, rookie mistake. gotta stay in the moment

Well, I'd definitely notice the difference between a 6 and 9, but plenty of times I've done that. Grabbed my pw instead of my 9 or a 6 instead of a 5, so on. The trouble is that when I'm playing well, I'm impetuous. See the shot, take the shot. If I've got time to stare at the club, the moment is gone and I'll probably not hit it the way I want. The best way for me to avoid those silly mistakes are to keep my bag organized throughout the round. Usually those mistakes happen when I'm playing with a friend in a cart and they get mixed up a bit. That is life.

Haha! I've done that one too. I played amost an entire round thinking that the red marker was 50 and the white was 100. This was when I first started playing and I was by myself so there wasn't anyone to correct me. I just kept thinking "Man, my short irons are WEAK!"

Yeah, the first few times I played the courses around here I thought that. I'd never seen the markers like that before... Then I read the scorecard and it all made more sense, I'd assumed they must just be distances to the back or something. That's when I learned that it pays to read all the notes on the back side of the scorecard... Actually, that's my biggest problem with using my iPod for keeping score, I tend to forget to carry a scorecard to look up local rules.

In the bag:
FT-iQ 10° driver, FT 21° neutral 3H
T-Zoid Forged 15° 3W, MX-23 4-PW
Harmonized 52° GW, Tom Watson 56° SW, X-Forged Vintage 60° LW
White Hot XG #1 Putter, 33"
