The best way to find out is spend some time at the pro shop bring your driver and test drive the others on the launch monitor and see what performs the best results for you. If you find the right one, you should gain some distance, some forgiveness and about $300 - $450 less from your wallet.

Okay; well, I am working at a course now, so I may get some discounts.

I was looking at Cleveland irons; actually.

G15

It's expensive though.

I like older Cleveland woods but the Launcher and whatever that flattened one were, left me cold.

I have a TM R7 460 that's been in my bag for a few years and I hit it pretty well (or at least I have for years until last month). It's my 3rd TM driver. Basically, I've always had TM drivers. But if I had to go buy a driver today it would be a G15. A playing partner has one and every time I hit it I like it. It's a little longer than my R7 and at least as forgiving. The other club I've hit that I really liked was the new Callaway FT-iz (my brother in law has one).

What's in my bag?

I heard the G15 is just a monster, really great club. Thats all the buzz i have been hearing.

I like ping because they make there clubs simple, and straight forward, nothing fancy, just a workhorse on the golf course

I've heard similar things. If the thing was $200 I'd probably be all over it. I'm afraid to test it out because I'll probably end up loving it and drop the $300 for it!

i would reccommend the new king kobra driver because its accurate and their one of the lightest drivers. if you go out and buy a driver get the new king kobra!

Thanks.

I light drivers that are light, but if they're too light; I don't like them.

The driver you should buy is the one YOU hit the best. I use a PING driver, my friends use Taylor Made. Hell, if you can hit a $30 driver from Wal-Mart and it works for you, Who am I to judge?

It might not last more than one season due to quality reasons, but if you can't find a driver you can hit from Walmart, then you truly are one craptastic golfer. I'm pretty sure I could pound a John Daly brand driver with firm shaft. In fact I may buy one just for kicks!!

    • 9 years and counting. Lil chipped paint here and there but still going strong. Also have an 18 deg driving iron that I got a couple of years ago which is doing well too. @iacastried it and I think he liked it.
    • For PING to assemble and ship it? It's a 3H. Yea, the new club has more loft. How do you like that, 2H?
    • Then go on gitchu a brand spanking new 2H son.. what are you waiting for?
    • I may not always hit a good shot but I always make sure the pre-shot routine is done.
    • Cool.. the pre-shot expectation still applies. Just saying..
