I carry a 5W rather than a hybrid because of bad hybrid experiences in 2008-09.

At a spring demo day, however, I found the Diablo Tour Edge and the Adams Idea hybrids quite easy to hit. After three shots with each, I was moving the ball out pretty good.

Have trouble hooking hybrids? The Tour versions might straighten things out for you... less offset.

Adams IDEA Tech a4 are nice. They're yester-year's technology, so you can find them on eBay cheaply. I got a 3h and 4h combined for about $65. I haven't personally surveyed a lot of hybrids, but I like them so far and it seems that in general they were reviewed as being very easy to hit.

I'll second the Ping G15 hybrid. As easy to hit as it is ugly to look at!

What do you like about them? I have an old Wilson 5 wood and love it.

The want to go straight. I find them quite easy to hit out of the rough. The loft matched up directly with the irons I replaced and they are a smooth transition from my irons.
